Cool product!
As soon as I saw these things, I had to have them!! I'm so tired of piking up groceries all over the seat and floor & they tip over... or piling them on top of my feet when my husband takes me to the food store- now we can at least hook some up!I placed two on the inside headrest pole, closest to the drivers seat. I put one facing forward and one backward so I wasn't reaching a mile. One thing that was also a huge bonus, I can sit on the seat and they don't ever poke me in the neck, or my husband when he is in my car. Im sure, having one on each headrest pole could be dangerous if someone is sitting there (if you got in an accident), but having only one facing forward doesn't seem to risky. The only downside- this company SUCKS at it's shipping price. it's $4.99 for EACH pair you order. Please! It's a .90 cent item, I'm SURE you could manage to combine shipping weight. I couldn't find these in stores and this was still the cheapest pair, even with shipping, so I got them from here.

Overpriced. Still happy.
I'm glad I bought these (2 pair). It was initially annoying to spend as much as these cost for what is essentially a couple of short lengths of bent wire. I'm pretty sure I could make my own from a metal coat hangar. Moreover, the little rubberized tips are not melted or glued on and get loose and lost easily. But the fact is though that as soon as I deployed them I had a working solution to a more annoying problem -- keeping grocery bags on my window van's bench seats without shifting during turns or braking and spilling their contents. Moreover -- and much to my surprise -- when passengers sat in the seats these were attached to without my remembering to either remove these hooks (or reverse them to face the rear of the vehicle), nobody complained or even noticed the hooks. Had I tried to make these myself I doubt such forgetfulness on my part would be so benign. So yeah, these are over-priced. But the function and convenience factor balances the equation.

Sturdy, will do the job
I have a Kia Rio 5, the last one that was available in my state. I've had it since the summer of 2009. I now use very heavy duty cotton bags, six of them in all, for all of my shopping; though I usually only need 2 or 3 at the most. One in the passenger seat works well. Sometimes even two will do, with my purse there, as well. the third is a lot more secure on one of these hooks off teh back of the passenger seat.My only quibble is the angle at which they sit in *my car, which is due to the shape of my seats and where the headrest is situated. I'll probably use a towel (to prevent marks), an anchored grip and a pair of heavy duty pliers to bend the metal these hooks are made of into a slightly better curve for *my car and seat.I like these, and even if they're not quite the right curve for me, they're 100% serviceable as they arrived. In most US made cars, these'd fit great..

Not useful for two-door car - but Great Quality
The quality of this item - there are two hooks - is very nice. They are well made and actually kind of pretty. We have a two-door car and trying to get in the back seat with the hooks hanging off the front seat doesn't work very well. They tend to just be in the way.I don't know how they would fit other seats, but in our Honda Civic they tend to just be hanging there kind of loose and it is difficult to get bags off the hooks without the hooks following the bag. Whenever we flip the seat forward they are jangling around.I thought they would be good to hold a plastic grocery bag to use as a garbage bag in the car (when not toting groceries), but unless the bag is already very full it is difficult to get the bag open while on these hooks.I was originally going to give them 3 stars, but since buying them was probably faulty logic on my part and the quality is good I will give them 4.

Product works OK, one damaged
I ordered two sets of these for my Honda CR-V. Of the four pieces, one arrived with the silver finish partially peeled off, revealing a rusted metal underneath. Given that these were brand new in their packaging, I'm not sure if it's bad quality control by the manufacturer or getting jiggled around during shipping could cause that much stuff to flake off. Either way, it speaks of lower-than-desirable quality. Minus one star.I took off another star because they don't lay flat like the picture shows. By looking at the product picture, it appears that the hooks may have a slight curve in them so that they sit flush with the back of the seat. This is not the case. They are very straight, so the hooks jut out and up a bit when installed. They're also tricky to manipulate when installing them due to the angles of the hooks. Minus another star.I do think they are worth a solid three stars, though. They work as advertised, and can hold a significant amount of weight in a grocery bag. They don't sway side to side much even with road bumps and fast turns. The hooks are deep enough that you could even put two, maybe three, not-very-full bags on them. I could also see using them to hold a purse, a child's backpack, or any other thing that needed to hang in the car, including dry cleaning and the like.

Works just as described
Fast shipping. Put both on my car in no time. They may stick out a bit until you hang bag on them. But they work very well. I hang my very heavy purse on the back of the passenger side every morning while take 3 kids to school, then I swing it around to the front seat so the purse is in the front with me. Just be sure that the headrest is up a little. I think the weight limit depends on your seat - how firm and the shape. My only issue is that the end caps are red, not brown or wood grain as shown and I did not receive clear set as photographed. They do slip off every once and while, but my daughter just slips it back on. I guess I could use some E6000 glue on them.Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase

Sturdy and helpful!
These hooks are great to keep my purse off the wet or dirty car floor. They are also perfect for hanging groceries, to keep them from spilling all over the floor if the car while driving home. They are sturdier than I thought they would be and don't bend easily.

Very useful!
These worked so well when on our roadtrip. We didn't have to worry about organizing the random plastic bags we acquired or ever had to look for our garbage back when cleaning out the car. I would recommend to anyone!
