So happy with this purchase! We started buying sponges from Tarpon Springs, FL a couple years ago and now can't use anything else. They are so soft and take way less soap to get a good lather. We won't be back to the area for a while, so I was really excited to find on Amazon. There was a slight smell after wetting, but I'm sure it will go away with use. Highly recommend this sponge.

I love every thing about this sponge! It's small and compact, and soft. The only thing I take issue with is one of the holes on it is sort of big, big enough to get my finger about halfway through. It doesn't affect the working of the sponge, and they have a good guarantee, so if it becomes an issue, I will contact the seller.

Okay...some people may find this review... icky.If you are the type of person who has three showers a day, stop reading NOW!!Some background...I live in an older home ( like 100 years old) and I don't have a shower, only a bathtub. This is fine for me- I prefer baths and if I had to choose would definately choose a tub!! It's an old iron clawfoot, and I love it! I usually have my baths at night.Here's the problem. In the winter my skin is EXTREMELY dry, and hot baths make the situation worse. So, every other day I will have what is often called a "sink bath" or " bucket bath " -MY favorite term for this practice is called "whore's bath". The idea is that you just wash the stinky bits (pits, groin, maybe feet) and leave the rest alone. It's also good for lazy people.I have been wanting a sponge like this for a while, because after getting it wet you can squirt or rub it with soap and it's all soft and squishy. I have found washcloths to be lacking in this area, as are those net things and just the soap itself, but this is perfect because it retains just enough water to make you feel clean. Sometimes I kneel in the tub and use it, sometimes just in front of the sink on a towel ( If you are old like me imagine the sponge/bathing scene in the movie Witness, only...not sexy...)Anyhoo, it has served its purpose perfectly, dries quickly, retains no odours, and has not fallen apart. I love it!!

I liked the ability to rinse clean. Long lasting!It is a bit small though

I'll begin first with what everyone wants to know:Does it lather well? -It depends on how you use it.Is it soft? -Yes, you don't even feel it against your skin (at least I don't).Is it durable? -Yes, for the two weeks I've used it, it has held up pretty well.Is it big? -It's not large, but it's not small either. I think it's ideal. Each sponge I think has a similar, but different size.Was it worth the price? -I'm used to purchasing three dollar loofah sponges from Walmart, so not really. It's only worth the price for the environment lol.Anyways, if you're someone who's used to using the loofah sponges, you'll have to adapt to using the natural sponge. When I first used mine it didn't lather like I was used to, but after using it several times, I know how to make it lather well. Get it wet first, but not ultra-wet, then if you use body wash (like me) put one or two pumps on it and lather it in. Then get it slightly wet again and bathe with it. Repeat the same process after the lather begins to fade.Hopefully, this was a helpful review. It's a good product, but it certainly needs to be used a few times for getting used to.

I love this sponge. I'd been using a bath towel for 2 years now & it seems like the soap doesn't lather up good with a towel & I don't like shower poufs because they fall apart quickly and are rough.My skin is sensitive and this sponge is very soft when wet, the soaps lathers nicely and I don't think this will fall apart fast like the synthetic ones do. Its so gentle that I even use it on my 15 mo old son. The sponge fits just right in my hand & I've had no problems using it. I will reorder when mine wears out or falls apart.7/25/16 UPDATEIts been a few months since I've started using this sponge and it is still in great shape- hasn't fallen apart, still very soft and lathers well. I love that this sponge is the right size for my hand and not bulky, scratchy or irritating. I bathe nightly and use it to wash even my face because it is so gentle. Every night after a bath I do rinse well with clean water and squeeze the water out so it can dry before the next night.I'd recommend.

The natural bath sponges from the sea are fabulous to use in the bath or shower. They keep the soap in -they get real soapy. They’re easy to rinse out. And they’re ready for the next time you use. Great feel on the body. Would never use anything else. This seller is terrific for natural sponges and they are delivered very speedily

Really love the idea that these sponges don't hold any bacteria. The sponge is incredibly soft and therefore can break easily after so many uses. It doesn't disintegrate, but they can break in half or tear easily. The softness is awesome and I really enjoy using them. We've ordered multiple times if that tells you anything
