I have been looking for something that would remove the dead skin off my face. After researching I found that sea sponges were very good for exfoliating your skin. The first time I purchased the sponge it lasted for months and it had a soft part and a rougher part which was perfect. The second time I purchased it it only lasted a few months before breaking apart the third time I purchased it it fell apart within the first couple uses. There is no consistent quality in this sponge which is sad because it's got perfect combination of rough and soft. I wouldn't recommend buying this product because you don't want to spend $10 and have it last only a few days before it breaks apart. Looks like the first time I bought it was the only time it was any good.

Really wanted to love this sponge but it's already falling apart. It's also too soft once it is wet, making it hard to grip.

I purchased this sponge about 7 months ago and have been using it to do dishes, every day, since then. It's only just now starting to come apart a little bit. I suspect it will last a couple more months before I have to replace it. I like using a natural sponge for dishes because it never gets smelly. Natural sponges won't harbor bacteria the way synthetic ones do as long as you keep them clean (i.e. rinse all of the food, soap, etc, after each use). The sponge gets soft when wet and won't scratch your dishes. On the other hand, it's too soft to do any serious scouring - like with baked on food, etc. This sponge does the job for 95% of my dish washing, though.

One side flat, one curved for options while washing. Just right to fill my hand. Firm but plenty of give for all surfaces - not for rough exfoliating. We use with liquid soap and it foams up great. We keep on an empty upside down plastic strawberry container - the woven kind - so that it gets plenty of air to dry out. Only beef is the natural fiber likes to hold onto stray hairs - I have to pull them out each time. But fair compromise for an otherwise pleasing product. We've had for about 2 months and there's only a small area on the flat side that has separated but it doesn't affect performance. We spray with vinegar and water occasionally, and let dry, to sanitize.

I have skin issues and have done a lot of research on the best type of scrubbers for sensitive skin. I read the reviews about this sponge and decided to give it a chance. It works great!. It can mildly exfoliate but definitely is not harsh on the skin. You just need to wet it well and the sponge will become very soft. The only think I wish is that is was somewhat bigger.

this is the worst purchase I ever made !!!!please let me return it !!!

this is my go to, i love the feel and it's not too big or small, just perfect size. and it lathers up really good w/body wash.
