But I felt compelled to leave one, because I am so in love with this product. I have never colored my own hair before (always had it done at the salon). But since my scalp has become very sensitive as a result of having discoid lupus, I began searching for a more natural option that might be better for my extremely sensitive scalp. At the recommendation of a friend, I decided to try Naturtint. The hair color went on like a dream. It did not burn my scalp at all. The result was a beautiful color that looked almost like a VERY DARK brown with a gorgeous red cast (like highlights) in the sun, and my hair had a great overall shine! (My hair is a medium chestnut brown naturally). One bottle was sufficient to cover all my hair (which is medium-long in length).I really love it, and will continue to purchase it here on Amazon. The price is fantastic -when buying the package of 6. And the results are very similar to the color I would get at my salon. The only difference is that I can now achieve the same look at a fraction of what I was spending before, -and thankfully, without the pain of a burning scalp! My hair stylist even compliments the color.It is easy to use. Very low odor. No ammonia or peroxide.I have very resistant grey. So I leave the color on my hair for an hour and cover my hair with a shower cap. Then I rinse out the color, no shampoo. Apply the hair mask and cover my hair worth the shower cap again and wait 30 minutes to rinse. Then I wait at least 2 days before shampooing. It's a pretty burgundy brown. My old brand quit making my colir and this one is very close. My favorite part is, if you follow the instructions, (wash twice with included shampoo and conditioner) it doesn't bleed. Also doesn't seem to dry my hair out like some box color.UPDATE 07/2022: I’ve been using this product for years. I’ve loved every color I’ve tried. I thought this latest purchase was just new packaging, but they must have changed their formula. It used to come with packets of shampoo, conditioner and leave in conditioner. Note it comes with a “mask”. I don’t know if I just got unlucky with the color but this new formula does not cover greys like it used to.
