Can’t afford a yacht? Buy this instead.
We named it the Floatchilla, and decided that there would be semi-regular Floatchilla parties. It’s 9x13’ (3x4m); if you live in an apartment, it’s as big as your living room. It’s strong, too; even that net part in the bottom of the couch area that doesn’t look strong; it held two adults sitting down directly on the net, and it held when someone decided to swim underneath for a surprise shark attack, causing those on the net to flail in surprise. The Floatchilla held up to the abuse of an adult flopping around on it like a cross between a fish out of water and a sea lion, and it didn’t care when adults tried to climb over the couch side to board it, where it was clearly not meant to be boarded. The mighty Floatchilla just chilled and took all the abuse hurled at it. Even on a very windy day, with parasailers and hang gliders taking advantage overhead, that reportedly flimsy sunshade held up perfectly, and even functioned as a sail at times. You might be wondering if you need a Floatchilla in your life. Designed for six adults, we have seven crazy people on board, and it could probably manage ten. It’s easier to board than it looks, and has handholds on either side to assist, plus a ramp on one side. (But the truly determined will find that it is possible to bellyflop on board directly from the water.) It has six cup holders built into the sofa section, and a small built-in cooler. What’s the downside, you ask? The cooler’s not large enough to fill seven adults with food and drink for five hours, so you may find that you have to supplement. Also, you may never get all the air out afterwards, which makes putting it back in the original box challenging. The box itself is larger and heavier than you’re expecting. Tips? Get those really cheap Intex air pumps that everybody buys with it. I read reports that they were crap and ran trough batteries before filling half a mattress, but I had three and filled the Floatchilla within 15 minutes without anything overheating or breaking, and even after deflating, they still run on their first set of batteries. (Get those Amazon batteries, too; they’re cheap and good quality.) While you’re at it, get that small collapsible anchor that everyone gets, too. It held the Floatchilla and all its inhabitants even on a day with pretty decent waves. Don’t float out to sea and die a tourist’s death on the Floatchilla — chill responsibly with an anchor. We’ll probably invest in a big rolling plastic container from Home Depot for storage and transport in the future, just to make things easier. I bought this for my husband’s birthday, but my friends loved this so much that we’re planning to have many more Floatchilla parties, and you should, too.

Life of the Party
Few things to consider, it’s only $200, it’s heavy, and it’s pandoras box, once it’s out it’s not going back in. It’s a float, so not indestructible, we bought it thinking we’d get one, maybe two uses out of it. We’re up to three with no holes so fingers crossed it keeps this trend up🤞🏽. The soft cooler that come with the raft is good for garbage, that’s about it, but the shade topper is surprisingly solid. Cooler insert fits a small yeti or a large playmate. Raft can fit 20+ large adults, tested and done, but recommend for comfort and longevity of the float keep it to 10 or less. Also…… yes it’s a huge chick magnet, but don’t blame me or be surprised if you find yourself with a raft full of dudes, because Saturday is for the bois and the bois loved the raft.

Super fun. Keep expectations in check
Update: 3 years after we bought a 2nd one. The first one lasted less than a year due to some terrible abuse. But we didn't blame Floatchilla (name stolen from another review) because we don't believe it was intended to endure that. So we bought a replacement. 3 years and at least 20 lake trips later - with as many as 8 people on it - we've enjoyed it a lot. The winds need to be really calm or you need a really solid anchor or the canopy acts as a sail. Only thing I find annoying is the location of the cooler. Right in the middle of everything. Would have been much better if it were closer to the seating area. ---- We have used this one time now, in a lake by our house. We tested it in our pool and promptly put a hole in it by scraping it against super sharp aluminium from our lanai, but we fixed it and got it together in a hurry. Plusses: - really, really fun - comparatively cheap - relatively tough. We could pull it (slowly) with our jet skis out into the lake and drop anchor. Canopy held on (but flexed a lot) in the breeze. Handle held on when people hoisted themselves out of the water. Survived inflation and deflation in an asphalt parking lot. People can and did stand on the netting with no problems. - fairly big. 4 adults and 2 way too energetic children fit just fine. Perhaps 8 rather sedate adults would fit, but 6 was good. - space for the cooler - numerous cupholders Minuses: - not fully marine rubber, like the kind from a tube you'd pull with a boat. Pretty good, but not the toughest anywhere - the cooler than comes with it is completely porous and leaks everywhere. Soon that opening where the cooler fits is full of freezing cold meltwater, and it melts fast. - it can be difficult for people without a lot of upper body strength (compared to their weight) to hoist themselves out by pulling on the handles. A few solutions we implemented: - we bought a vinyl type B patch kit with lots of extra. We figure holes WILL happen, so we'll be prepared if they do - We have similar sized cooler with a hard plastic interior that we will use. The one that comes with it will be made into a trash container - we bought a 3.5 lb anchor to hold it still in the lake - we have added a 3 foot rope ladder to the side to help people get in out of the water - we brought numerous small ropes to tie assorted things to it, such as a bluetooth radio, bag for flip flops and sunglasses, the jet skis, etc. Not sure how long it will last, but so far it's been great!

BEST RAFT EVER
This was hands down a GREAT purchase. I read ALL the reviews before purchasing and decided to purchase. There were some negative reviews saying the cooler was too small for how many people the float actually held, and I feel that they should be grateful there was one at all. Also, they complained about you have to have upper body strength to pull yourself onto the raft. None of us had a problem with getting on and off so seemed to be a personal problem or opinion. So, I had purchased a ladder just in case, but we did not need to use it whatsoever. I also purchased the cooler that we tied to the raft. We fit 5 people on it and 2 dogs. It held great. We did not set up the sunshade because a pole was missing but the seller had quick responses and was able to assist! Blowing up wasn't hard at all just make sure you have a pump long enough to reach the holes on all sides of the raft. Or a cordless battery operated one. The ONLY downside is the raft does not come with a bag/holder to transport, the box when it came it was VERY heavy. So, I bought a wagon that transported the raft and much more for the trip which made everything VERY easy. If you're thinking about getting this raft, do it!! We attached 2 paddle boards and a cooler and a singular raft to it. We all made it out far and with a little paddling we made it back in. This is hands down the best purchase I've made for any camping/trips. I will tell you these pictures does no justice because you cannot see exactly how big the raft is, but you can tell it was a blast! :)

Thick heavy duty vinyl can hold 8 LARGe adults with no problems. Amazing!!!!!!
This floatie is amazing! When it arrived, the product had a rip in the vinyl. I contacted the company and the process was so easy. Once confirmed, the company sent a replacement ASAP! I was mind blown! The quality and thickness of the vinyl is impressive. I have spent summer at the lake for 50 years and this is best floatie we have ever purchased. We had 8 large adults on at one time and we were all comfortable and felt supported and secure. The cup holders a totally fit a beverage with a can cookie and is deep enough not to fall out. The sun shade actually works and stays in place. It is large enough and sturdy enough that when people were on it, it didn't collapse. The large handles were great for securing in the water. LOVE this product. Shipping was super fast. I can't say enough about this product! I highly recommend!

Definitely a fun time!
Took this down a river, and it held up great, despite some unavoidable rocks here and there in the rapids! A lot of space on it to chill out and relax with multiple people. Was rushing to get out of people’s way and didn’t put quite enough air in the canopy sitting area when we took it out, so it sunk in a bit with my friend sitting in it, but not enough for us to want to stop and put more air in it. (Just ignore that in the photos since it was my fault, lol) Putting together the canopy wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be, even though it would have been a lot easier if I didn’t wait until we were floating to put it together lol. Customer service was also very supportive with inquiries I had, and were quick to respond. Unless you have a foldable wagon (which I plan to buy next) to pull this on to where you’re setting up and leaving, I definitely recommend no less than 3-4 people at once to use this since it was very heavy to carry especially after getting wet. Can’t wait to take it back in the water! (Just a space more clear of objects to paddle away this big thing away from next time, lol)

It is what it is: A ridiculously overpriced BUT very fun toy!
Purchased a month ago, did a test inflate in my garage the day I received it (all good). Finally got to use it this past weekend (in Ocean Water for reference). The Good: Easy to setup, do a dry run at home if possible before attempting this on vacation surrounded by kids! Like others have mentioned, I used my shop vac that has a reverse leaf blower attachment. This significantly cuts down the inflation time. 45 minutes from out of package to in the water. Have no illusion, you will never get it back into the box it comes in, I purchased a large (30x40) waterproof duffle bag. While the float is very large, some reviewers are claiming they get 10-12 people on it, I don't see how that's possible unless all small children? We fit 5 normal sized adults and 2 small children on it. The seating is comfortable and at least to me the mesh flooring area is the best feature to keep cool without having to jump overboard. The Not-So Good: The Sunshade (while completely necessary) is a complete fail. Clearly it was an engineering afterthought. Very difficult to put together, the slightest (and I mean slightest) wind causes it to collapse and break away from the supports. We constantly had to reattach and eventually had to hold onto it from both ends. Needs a redesign for sure. Why are the cup holders only on one end? Another misstep, at least 2 are needed near the pillow back rests. Also it would have been nice to have a swim platform on both sides for convenience as well as stability. Lastly, while this is subjective due to the laws of supply and demand, it is overpriced for what it is. The Family enjoyed it so I guess that's all that matters. We are using it in Ocean Water and it does seem to be holding up, but we've only used it twice. if it lasts 2 seasons I can't complain. Definitely take it out of the water and allow it to dry before storage, it will last longer. Bon Voyage!

This is the talk of the town when it's out there.
This is the talk of the town when it's out there. Get it... especially if you're prone to burning in the sun (as I am). This is an all day affair on the water and everyone loves it.

Choices not available
The beach lounge looks fine however when ordering there was no way of choosing which colour - despite there being 3 colour choices shown. We really didn't want purple, but of course, that's the colour that arrived.

Do not Purchase via Amazon - Inferior canopy
One of the canopy poles did not last the weekend with a small wind. It snapped and split at a joint. Contacted Regal and they said that they are just the shipper and to contact Coolez an American company. This is going to be a very convoluted warranty issuem If you really want this item order one from Costco as they stand behind their products. I will update if I get a response from Coolez.

L'île flottante est très bien mais a un défaut majeur, le vinyle est trop mince ce qui fait qu'elle doit souvent être réparée car un rien la perce.
