How To Use GoPro Hero 3 Cameras: The Adventure Sports Edition for HERO3+ and HERO3 Cameras

I thought this book helped me to understand the features of this camera. I learned more about the settings and sizes and how yo make really cool videos .

I loved this Book. It was very well written and to the point.

Very short and very not worth $8. At best this is a $3.99 Kindle book. I maybe walked away with one mount idea. The rest of the photo and video content is generic and not specific to gopro - in fact almost none of the video or photo technical info is specific to gopro. Any video or photo book or knowledge would apply. Additionally, there are a few obvious mistakes regarding the technical info in the beginning of the book that anyone with any knowledge or experience editing videos would recognize in a heartbeat (as a former video editor they were glaringly obvious to me). Also, At least one instance of direction regarding how to mount your gopro early on in the book is not the required way to mount, per gopro, and could result in the loss of your gear.The only thing about this book that is specific to gopro is the mounting info. The editing and sharing info is also not specific to gopro - again - any book or any knowledge regarding editing any photo or video with any editing app and also any knowledge regarding online sharing would apply.Should have sold this as a $2.99 or $3.99 Kindle ebook just on mounting your gopro or call it a gopro mounting / custom mounting ebook. Realistically, I could have found most, if not all, of this info online just using Google or Bing searches. All in all, yup, pretty much wasted $8.

I love my GoPro Hero 3+ Silver edition. It really is an incredible bit of technology capable eye popping pictures and videos. But for awesome of a product it is, I really don't think you'll get the full potential of this device by using the very limited manual that comes with it.I haven't read many other manuals concerning my camera, but this book has been /very/ helpful. It covers teaching you the basics of your camera as well as the basics of POV cameras and photography. Introduction to video and camera settings. A break down of most mounts, their most and least beneficial uses. Even how to make your own home made mounts.How to recognize and make the best of lighting situations to using the editing software you can (and should) download from GoPro.It's easy to read and follow and really prepares / educates the new GoPro user. Worth the price.

If you're new to Go Pro cameras, this is a very good resource to get you started. Don't expect extreme details on features or How-To, but you get enough info to understand most of the settings and shooting modes. The author spent too much ink explaining the uses of the numerous Go Pro mounts. If you want to avoid the reading the small print in the Go Pro manual and want a bit more information than the numerous Youtube video, then this is a good buy. The author does provide TIPS in each section of this eBook. It also allows you to quickly and easily highlight and and write notes on the fly. Worth the $10.

I have been using GoPro cameras for about 3 years now - attached to my motorcycle. I recently purchased the Hero 3 Black Edition. This book helped me get a good understanding of the basics of the new system and how to mount it. Particularly helpful to me was the information regarding GoPro Studio. For both the GoPro camera and GoPro Studio, I found helpful information that I have already put to good use. Recommended for new owners and users who want a broad overview of the camera.

I'm an amateur photographer and new to go pro. This was a great book for anyone. Lots of info on settings, how-to' sand easy to understand explanations. It's very well written and I got lots of great tips and ideas. I also really liked how they show what version of go pro has which settings (made me feel even better going for the hero3+black) so you know what your camera can vs can't do. If you're interested in mounts this book has a TON of info on mounts, in fact it's probably 40% of the book, a bit too much on mounting for me, but I understand why it's there. Overall A+.

Enjoyed the book a lot. It gives you a very basic overview of the camera and a VERY in depth look at different mounts (this is where the book shines). It covers all the other topics ok but will never replace the need to still read the manual.7.99$ seems a bit high for this but if I would have bought the paperback for 20$ I'd be shooting a video of me jumping off a bridge right now.

An easy read, easy to follow and some very useful guidance within. I always find the supplied handbooks a bit small to read but obviously they are easy to carry with the kit if required. So it depends on your needs really, I always prefer to listen and learn from other peoples experiences/mistakes and at the price shown what have you got to lose. Would I buy it again - yes.

This really is an excellent guide. I liked the chatty style. It covers quite a lot of ground and although GoPro centric the authors are not disposed to suggesting non-GoPro accessories if they deem them better. Buy it, you wont be disappointed.

Having purchased the Gopro Hero 3 silver edition, this book enabled us to get started straight away. Instructions are clear and easy to follow - and believe me, I'm not the most technical person on the planet!. Great one page starter guides for each camera in the Gopro range. I strongly recommend this book if you're buying one of the cameras as it will definately take the stress out of the set up as Gopro don't come with instructions.

I purchased this book for my son for Christmas, we had got him the Gopro Hero3 and I thought it might help.He has taken it away snow boarding with him so it must be good.Regards Pam H

I bought the kindle version of this book as I am very sensible with my money and spend a lot of time in front of my PC. I have to say that the author has done a damn fine job covering all the aspects of the Go Pro Hero 3 that I could think of. Excellent reference when it comes to editing for the beginner.I have to say, I love it. Well worth the price.
