However, it is heavier, longer and wider than the original and, although only about two-thirds the depth, not particularly slim either. The LED indicators on the new version have much more limited visibility than on the original - you almost have to be looking directly down on the newer power bank to see what level of charge it has, although the button to check charge level is better placed on the new one, being combined with the LED indicators. New version has a USB-C input (only) which might mean a shorter time to charge power bank if you have a suitable cable? The cable supplied is standard USB to micro-USB. On the plus side, it is currently cheaper as there's a £5 discount and also a voucher available. As usual with Anker products, beautifully packaged and the box includes a carrying pouch as well as the supplied cable. Recharging my phone seems to work as expected (but only a partial recharge so far) so overall I am happy, but I think I would have been at least as happy with the older version (which my son happens to have, so I've been able to compare for real) if it had been the same price and it would have got the full 5 stars compared to the 4 I'm giving the newer one as I don't think its description or the LED indicators are as good.
