New blue-label (larger eye) version, very nice!
I received the new blue-label Martin, which has a slightly larger eye (hole in the head for the handle) then the previous red-label version. Same great quality, just a small design improvement. The new blue-label hammers use a wooden wedge along with two steel wedges to expand the handle, securing the head. It appears to be a very solid design. Martin claims that this new design is "87% stronger in the bend test and 300% stronger in the pull test." [...] see for yourself. I am very happy with the product.
