Fun toy
Really fun in the pool. We got to scare off a wild duck that thinks our pool is his/her personal spa. The only complaint is that the battery compartment leaks after awhile and we had to glue it shut so we can't use the lit up eyes anymore. It worked for awhile, though, and still looks good swimming in the pool (didn't fool the duck, though!)

Gator looks real.
My 2 1/2 grandson loves to open my boxes from Amazon. He was so surprised to see this gator. We hooked it together and he played with it on the front lawn for a long time. It looks real in the grass. He loves the blinking eyes. We put it in the pool and it floated around. I hope the ducks are afraid of it. It really does look real floating around the pool.

Crapy Junk
Not at all what I thought! much smaller and very cheesy! Don't even want them. Would like to ship them back and get a refund. Mayor Dan DiLiberto

Very disappointed with this
We have not even had this for a year, and it is falling apart. On the ad it states for water such as pools etc.....but it has been in our pool for 2 month last year and we just opened our pool this year so less than a month. So total time in the water is less than 3 months and the thing is falling a part. And by the way, we do not keep it in the water 100% of the time. Very disappointed with this item

Very realistic but some flaws in the manufacturing.
It looks VERY realistic since it floats in 3 separate but connected sections (it would be 5 stars for that!), and the lighted eyes were kind of cool. BUT...The 'sealed' battery compartment lasted about 2 days floating in the pool before it leaked water in and corroded, so don't expect the lights to last any time at all. One of the section connectors broke after about 2 months, so the 3 parts of the gator won't stay together anymore while floating. Now it's just on the pool deck, but still no ducks have been showing up. I would have said 4 or 5 stars despite the lights quitting, but the cheap connectors mean I can't leave it floating anymore, which is what makes it look so realistic. Only 3 stars for cheap parts.

Not very scary
This was so fun to look at in my pond but the ducks laughed at it and even swam with it. I bought it to scare them but it did not. It still was cute in my pond.

We have a problem with blue herons (they eat our fish and baby ducks) and had previously ordered a heron decoy. They accepted him as a strangely silent peer and made him part of the group. Now, I think we're probably the only farm in Oregon with a resident gator in our pond. It seems to work well - the herons circle the pond but no longer land.

Really cute to look at but the cover on the bottom of the head that holds the battery leaks. Battery only took 5 days to corrode and need to be replaced. Had to clean the contacts then taped the cover in place with waterproof tape.
