Prepac 48 inch Wide Hanging Entryway Shelf, Black

Excellent hallway/entryway shelf. We got the matching bench and love them both. Directions are straightforward and assembly was a cinch, I had it together in 30 minutes. It is sturdy and looks really nice in the entryway of our house. Good quality and price. This will save you when it comes to organization, no more coats lounging on chairs and couches now they are were they belong near the door ready to go when you head out. Highly recommend and shipping was very quick.

My previous house had no coat closet and no room for anything like this in the entry way, so when I moved into this house I realized I could put up a nice shelf/coat rack. This is THE perfect cubbie shelf! It looks great, the quality is very nice, assembly is very easy, and it has plenty of storage. I hang jackets on the hooks, store hats in the cubbies, and may even put decorations on top. This will also work perfectly to keep motorcycle helmets up on top right by the door way, BONUS! I also bought the matching 3 cubbie bench to put below the shelf. I will definitely purchase Prepac products again, they have a bedroom set I have my eye on already.

I purchased this shelf and bench for my mudroom, as my house somehow does not have a coat closet and I wanted to declutter certain areas. The piece was pretty easy to put together if you're good at these types of things. My only qualm is that the unit did not come with wood screws to attach it to the wall (for this reason I gave it 4 starts). This was not a huge problem just an inconvenience. Overall it looks great on my wall and seems sturdy. I would recommend it to a friend (in fact I have).

When we bought our new house, I hadn't realized there was no front hall closet! Uh oh. I had to find a solution, and this shelf, along with a storage bench that matches, did the trick! It is easy to put together and VERY heavy and sturdy. You will need to hang it on studs, and the hangers in the back are the perfect width to do so. The unit sits flush against the wall when properly installed. The hooks are heavy duty, we hang coats, full backpacks, purses, you name it, on them and they have never budged. No wobble at all to this piece! I bought baskets at IKEA to use in the storage areas. It is difficult to find something attractive yet functional enough to use in the entry hall, yet I have gotten several compliments on this. The only downside is the unit is black, so it shows dust easily. But it is so wonderful to have, having to dust it often is no biggie. I HIGHLY recommend getting this!

I just put up this shelf yesterday. It's beautiful and complements the shoe cubby I purchased in black to make our kids closet organized and tidy. It was fairly easy to put together and hang with the help of my husband. It is very well made and solid, and the way it attaches on the wall is easy (just make sure you put it in the studs) and very sturdy. $86 is a great price for this piece.

This is a joint review of the Sonoma Console unit Prepac Sonoma Black Living Room Console and the Cubbie Shelf unit Prepac Sonoma Black Entryway Cubbie Shelf . I bought this combo for my entryway/foyer. I have three kids and this console has three open cubbies under three drawers and the cubbie shelf has three cubbies and four coat hangers. A perfect organization idea. The kids each have their drop-off areas for school bags and books and I have a functional piece of furniture that didn't cost an arm and a leg. The Cubbie Shelf Unit provides hooks for hats, coats and/or keys and the two pieces together provide an impressive amount of room for storage and display. Of course, this is not fine handcrafted wood furniture. It took a little time to assemble and is bound to chip and wear more rapidly than a solid wood console. But this is a fraction of the cost of similar items and - did I mention I have three kids using this?? I would not want my $2000 storage unit absorbing the daily abuse of 3 school children! I'll take abuse to a sub-$200 unit and if it last 2 or three years and still looks OK, I've made out on the deal (and stressed a lot less!). If you are careful putting it together, I can not see why this wouldn't serve as perfectly well as an "adult" piece of furniture as it does for how I'm using it with the kids. The drawers hold a fair amount too and are on rails and slide nicely. Overall a very good value!

This shelf is exactly what we expected. We had puchased this same thing, only much larger and returned it no problems at all. Sellers were extremely nice. This one, the size that fits our wall beter is extremely easy to hang up on the wall. My husband hung it up, but even he said it was a lot easier than others he had done in the past. There is a board you attach to the wall and then the shelf sits on top of it. EASY PEASY! I totally could have done that myself without the husband ;) I attached a photo. Our lighting is a little dark, but we LOVE the cubbie shelf and we now have more room for our things. Excellent Seller and Excellent Quality Product. Enjoy!

It’s beautiful once set up, it’s huge (I didn’t read the size) but I just didn’t expect it to be so big!! Not sure if it will fit the space I wanted it for.. excellent for the price

Great for the price. Looks more expensive then what I paid. Very functional for the space. Wall mounting could have been easier as I had to backfill the screw holes with putty. Other then that well made
