Love demablend. Has gotten more expensive since the last time I purchased this. A little goes a long way.

Goes on lightly and shows no color. Stays matte finish.

I tried the Dermablend foundation with the Dermablend powder combination several years ago, but it always left my face looking caky and dry. Then I discovered the Maybelline mousse foundation and I switched, but I’ve continued using the Dermablend Powder on top of my foundation. It works fairly well for helping my makeup stay put all day, and also for keeping the shine at bay. I pat a generous amount of powder on top of my foundation (with the puff provided), let it settle for a few minutes, and then use a large makeup brush to dust all the loose stuff off. I prefer the translucent powder to the tinted because it helps even out my skin tone really well. It doesn’t clog my pores or cause any breakouts. The issue I have with any powder is that it tends to make my face look, well, powdery. It also makes any fine facial hair stand out – probably most gals over age 50 can relate to this. So what I do after I dust off the powder is to use a hydrating spray (I like Teddie Organics Rose Water). But don’t spray your face directly. Just spray into the air and walk under it, letting the fine mist settle on your face. You’ll be amazed at how smooth and creamy your face will look.

This product truly impressed me with its high quality. The texture is smooth, easy to apply, and feels lightweight on the skin. It blends beautifully and stays in place throughout the day without fading or caking. Most importantly, it completely meets my make-up needs—whether I’m going for a natural look or full coverage. It performs exactly as advertised and has quickly become a staple in my routine. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for reliable, top-tier makeup.

For reference, I purchased the Dermablend standard white loose powder. I have combination skin - oily T-Zone but dry patches around my nose creases and laugh lines. I am a nurse so I am constantly moving around and working long shifts which leaves little to no time for touch ups. I had been using Bare Minerals Mineral Veil for the past 12 years or so in order to set my makeup and reduce shine. With the Mineral Veil, my T-Zone would start looking oily and shiny again after about 4-6 hours, and the dry parts of my face would look patchy and dry. I might as well have been using baby powder! Over the years, Bare Minerals has gotten less and less effective as they've changed their formulations for the worse to save money - BYE FELICIA. This Dermablend setting powder is FAR SUPERIOR to the Mineral Veil. It effectively reduces shine ALL DAY. It does NOT settle into creases or melt away. The Dermablend formulation seems finer and lighter weight which means it is undetectable and natural looking. It maintains a matte finish on my face for 12 hours or more. It is almost like putting on a translucent mask. I have gotten multiple compliments on my skin since I started using it. I don't strictly follow the application recommendations for Dermablend. They instruct you to put a lot on, wait a few minutes for it to sit/absorb, then brush off the excess. Instead, I just lightly and evenly coat the end of my Kabuki brush and buff it into my face the same way I would apply the Mineral Veil. Overall, I would 100% recommend this to family and friends. It is a game changer for me.

The powder is just OK, I have a bigger problem with the silly little sponge applicator. For $32 I would expect a puff, not this cheap flat thing that doesn't even have a finger hold on it.
