I actually really like the scent of Carroten—it has a tropical, beachy smell that reminds me of tanning lotions, but in a good way. I was initially worried it might have a plasticky chemical scent like someone else mentioned, and I knew what they meant when I first peeled the seal off, but it does not smell like that on.One of the biggest pros for me was how moisturizing it was. My skin tends to be naturally dry, and this product kept it feeling soft and hydrated. I reapplied it about three times throughout the day and used around five teaspoons in total.I spent about four hours outside by the pool, moving between sun and shade, and I did end up getting sunburned. The packaging does note that it doesn't contain SPF, so that’s something to keep in mind. As for whether it made me more tan, it’s hard to say—I might have tanned the same without it—but I did like the texture. The butter gel consistency is a nice middle ground between a lotion and an oil. Lotions usually absorb too quickly for my liking, and oils can be too messy. This was just right.One downside is that it did transfer onto the resort towels and my cover-up. I’m not sure yet if it will stain, but I’m hoping it washes out. Still, that’s not a huge deal to me.Overall, I enjoyed using it and would likely use it again—just with a separate sunscreen for protection.

First time ever using product and I'm pleased to say that I'm very happy with the product. It's very hard for me to get a tan and with this tanning gel that I've only used twice for an hour each, Im starting to build a light tan and hopefully a little darker in the near future. I do burn a little but a day or 2 later with some aloe and moisturizer I'm ready to go for another day out in the sun! BTW a lot of products don't work for me due to my complexion (white very white) and this is the first to ever help build a base tan! Well worth the try and buy!

It doesn't protect you from the sun but if you put a low spf on underneath you still get a really nice tan from this product. It doesn't stain my bikinis even my blue with white edging. But I would still be cautious when putting it on. I tanned really fast with this product. I don't recommend putting it on your face. A little goes a long way, but everyone is different. If you feel yourself burning from being in the sun too long with this on, I suggest you stop and put regular spf on and then put this product on top.

I used this with a UV of 7 and tanned out on the trampoline for 20 minutes and it got be tan!! It was not a very big difference but IT WAS THE FIRST DAY OF TANNING! I took away 1 star because it might have made me burn. It could have been this or baby oil that made me burn but whatever!!

I was skeptical of this product, but the tan line I got in just one hour was pretty good. The only thing I didn’t love was that it does rub off on things, so make sure you have a beach towel under you or it will look like a murder scene under you. If that’s the worst thing though… no problem! If I had to choose between sunscreen and this tanning gel, I’m choosing the tanning gel every time!

This stuff WORKS! It gives you a color as soon as you get it on almost like a fake tan but then if you sit out in the sun with it on it will help you tan SO FAST! the UV index is only 5 right now because it’s February but I’m still tanning like it’s summer! There are some downsides though. This stuff smells weird, like coconut play dough. It’s not “bad” but it’s weird. It also does not dry, it’s a very wet and sticky oil that rubs off on pool floats and towels or anything you touch. The worst part in my opinion, the reason for the 3 stars, is that it will stain the crap out of your swim suit, furniture, towel or whatever you touch. It’s a red color when it goes on and it stays a red color until you wash it off. Unfortunately I’ve just ruined my brand new swim suit but maybe I should have known better then to wear white with this tanning oil.

Works so well! The tans still a work in progress but it has done real good on me. Please, please, PLEASE WEAR SPF BEFORE APPLYING! Even if you think you won’t need it, please do. The bottle says it has no SPF so keep yourself safe, as well as your skin. Happy tanning! 🧡Don’t apply to your face if you have acne prone skin or oily skin, it won’t feel nice. Other than that, it feels wonderful on the body.

Amazing. Florida girl here. Definitely helps the ole tan and keeps you moisturized. I shower after using it.. it’s greasy and will rub off on things. Buy it!
