Accutire MS-4021B: Good multipurpose digital tire pressure gauge
Tire pressure gauges can run from the simple pencil types to the more sophisticated versions with dial or digital displays. Picking a good one depends on your personal needs, more than anything. Bought this Accutire MS-4021B Digital Tire Pressure Gauge when it was on a Lightning Deal and based on personal experience with an older model from the same company. My needs were specific: measuring the tire pressure on a mountain bike. This review wouldn't even be here had I not lost the original gauge by leaving it in my back pocket when going out on a quick ride that became extended. ◆ Likes: + Clear LCD display; easy to read in varying conditions + Good tire pressure range; from 5-150psi in ½-pound increments + Well designed; angled head makes it easy to use + Uses three LR44/A76 batteries; readily available ◆ Dislikes: - The three LR44/A76 button cell batteries are tricky to replace ◆ In Use: This digital tire pressure gauge is quite straightforward, and the directions for use and warranty info are printed on the back of the package. Before using it for the first time, it's necessary to pull out the small white paper tab from the rear of the handle and it will work just fine. To use the gauge, simply push the nozzle onto the tire valve stem and press down smoothly so that you don't hear air hissing, then hold it there until you see the pressure reading lock in on the digital display. The directions also include directions for checking the "zero setting," so be sure to remove the cardboard portion and keep it for future reference. My MTB tires are 26 x 1.95-inch, and on the sidewall the pressure range is noted as 30-65psi. I changed the air pressure a few times to see how well the gauge would respond, and it worked properly. I then checked it against my Planet Bike Analog Bicycle Dial Tire Gauge , which is very accurate and rated at 0-140psi, and the one that is used in the field. The two were very close, though the Accutire MS-4021B is a bit handier to use at a glance due to its digital readout. My only issue with this Accutire gauge is that the three button cell batteries are tricky to remove and replace. You'll need a small Philips jewelers screwdriver to remove the battery cover on the black handle, and you'll need to use care in prying out the small batteries or they will go flying... as happened to me the first time. When I reinserted the batteries, I cut a small, very thin piece of plastic and slipped it underneath the batteries so that they could be removed easier the next time. A small piece of tape would do just as well, but it a small nuisance. ◆ Summary: The Accutire MS-4021B Digital Tire Pressure Gauge is a decent product, and one that is easy to use. Bottom line is that it's a good multipurpose digital tire pressure gauge. 7/30/2013

Very Accurate and Measures Quickly
I am completely satisfied with this product. I purchased based on a consumer magazine recommendation. It works great, creates a quick and easy seal on the tire's valve and reads accurately. It's a good value for the money.

Easy to Use & Read. Accurate.
Easy to use & accurate (at least mine was). Much easier than stick type gauge to get securely on tire stem. Fast, so I don't mind checking air pressure in the winter cold.

It’s great if you can get one.
It was rated as the most accurate digital tire pressure gauge and I have to agree. Easy to use and read. I’m just disappointed that they are so hard to find now because they’re no longer being manufactured.

Not too sure how long this gauge will last, and check the batteries!
Purchased this in March of 2022. It is now May of 2023. Haven't used this too much, maybe ten times in the past year. Went to use the other day, and it gently dropped (less than a foot) onto the pavement. Did not work after this short drop. Thought that perhaps battery somehow shifted when it hit. Took off the battery cover, and removed the three (3) LR44 batteries. All three of the batteries had started leaking. SInce I didn't have any spares on hand, I cleaned them off and re-installed- gauge now works again. I'll be ordering some batteries. I have an old (over 20 year old) Accutire digital gauge that I carried on my motorcycle- bouncing around for over 80,000 miles- never stopped working, and still on original batteries. This new gauge and the old gauge read exactly the same pressure. I'm assuming they're both right. UPDATE NOVEMBER 2025: The batteries that I put in back in 2023 also leaked (see below) Pros: Has worked well since, no issues. I do like the fact that the display is backlit- it makes it much easier to read than my other gages. The angle of the head also makes it easy to reach the valve on my cars. Cons: The angled head makes it a little akward to use on my motorcycles, as I have to adjust the gage body to clear the brake rotors. I have compared this gage with my two other digital gages, they're all within 0.1 psi of each other, so I suppose they're all pretty accurate. I went to use gage in November of 2025 and batteries were dead. Opened up the unit and tthe (two year old) batteries had also started to corrode. Cleaned up the battery compartment and put in three new LR44 batteries and back in business. I would suggest checking the batteries at least once a year for corrosion and condition to minimize the chance of damage. I keep the gage in an old eyeglass case to protect it in my glove box. I am buying a few more of these as small gifts for my kids for Christmas this year.

This gauge is durable, easy to use, and easy to keep handy in a glovebox or door pocket. Reads accurately when tested against a calibrated air gauge. Still running on the original battery after 3+ years of monthly use.

This fortunately reads psi. It reads the same as another gauge I have and agrees with the car's TPMS so all three must be correct. I have an old version of this gauge from probably 20 years ago and it still works on the original battery. It's very easy to use and is highly recommended.

Excelente producto.
