The hardest part was getting the other old handles off. The new valves installed fairly easily and the special wrench was a necessity to get the old ones off and new ones on. I probably had the water shut off no more than 45 minutes to install 3 new valves and then I had a working faucet and shower again with no leaks, no holes, and no costly plumbers. Under $50 thanks this is a great DIY kit that gave new life to a very old faucet. Other than Gerber on the existing handles I can not find any model numbers , will the stem fit?** A: It fit for me with no problem. It comes with the wrench to remove the guts so you don't have to buy that extra. I could not get the little brass pieces off of the old and left the old ones on and it works ok.
