You either get schlocky 70s horror movies or you don't. If you don't, don't come here. If you like your movies grimy however, I've got one for you! Sure, it doesn't make any sense and the acting isn't good, but really, is that what you were hoping for? Be honest.This one is like a 70s reverse porn movie: she opens the door to let the gardener/delivery boy/handyman inside, looking sexy, then murders him. Whenever she gets pissed her eyes glow green and some dude dies a painful death. It's very feminist.But, for real, just watch it for the performance by LaWanda Page (yes, that LaWanda Page). She has maybe the best racially-aware one-liner I have ever heard in a horror movie, and then... she leaves! She's outta this b@#$h! Haha, it's awesome.A dude-killing woman demon, practical effects, servants that are smarter than everyone else, a twist ending. A bunch of MILF boobs (but if you see them you get a digging tool to the back of the head). This is the one you were looking for. ;) 5 stars.

I really like creepy, atmospheric horror movies. Except for about 5 minutes of film time, this isn't it. Most of the action takes place inside or around a well off "McMansion" (in delicious 1980s pastels and decor). Even by 80's standards, this movie doesn't offer much in the way of horror, and only a couple of scenes with a marginal amount of blood. Still, it's watchable at least once, but do it at night. Lights off. One candle lit. Hopefully during a thunderstorm with fog. One thing to note: I read that they could only find a film copy of the movie. I watched half of this movie on the TV, then later the next day, I finished the rest on my Fire tablet. On the tablet, I could REALLY HEAR the chattering of the film sprockets and white noise - taking me back to my 1970 primary school days.

First off, as someone that's in Audio Production, the white noise (static) gets a bit much in a few spots. Whoever did the conversion from video cassette to DVD could have put in a few more hours to help suppress the gritty aspect and improve the overall sound quality a bit more. That said, for the most part, when there is more action occurring onscreen, it adds to the whole mystic of being an old school horror film.Spoiler Alert, if you're looking for blood, guts, and gore, it has the typical amount for a B Horror from the 80s. Especially at the end when you see the husband's rib cage get cracked open and arterial blood sprays all over the bathroom. I could say a lot more, but most aspects worth mentioning have already been posted about in other reviews here. So, in short, I'd agree with IMDB and other well-known sources by saying it deserves about a three-star rating.

It's your typical ridiculous B horror film with terrible acting, a terrible score and terrible special effects. The unintentional humor makes it worth watching, especially the maid. Ending made no sense which just adds to its absurdity. It's worth a watch because for fans of this genre they will undoubtedly enjoy it. For anyone else I'd pass it off and for God's sake, stay out of the Mausoleum!!

The Prime Video transfer is HORRIBLE, it sounds awful as well. Not (accidentally) funny enough to be a good b movie, not good enough to be good.

Saw this movie as a kid and I’ve been searching for it for years! Still a cool movie even though it’s been decades

Yes, the sound and picture quality of this is really old, but some of us like that early 80's horror film. I thought Bobbi Bresee (Evil Spawn) did a great performance. All you see is her full nudity. I definitely like that. And it was gory fun. This will always be a horror classic to those who love early and later 80's horror movies.

I have been looking for this movie for years and was excited to see it on Prime. I saw this in the theater back when I was a teenager. Brought back great memories. Some might say the effects are cheap but it was the 80's. They didn't have the technology then that they do now but I love 80's horror as it brings back great memories for me. I recommend!

Im giving 5 stars to the movie, not the dvd box & print. I love this movie,the dvd art for this collection "Dead of night" it's very lame & cheap, you can't even read the text on the back cover, ridiculous.

Good film bought this for my mum as she likes a good horror film

Blu ray de la maravillosamente basuresca película de los 80,este blu ray viene prensado,la película tiene una gran calidad de imagen y sonido en Inglés.Como siempre el audio castellano se oye enlatado y sin remasterización.El punto más débil aparte del audio en español es la falta total de extras.Pero vale la pena este blu ray por la calidad de imagen y sonido original.

Une édition dvd et bluray entièrement restaurée peut être pas un des meilleurs films d'horreur mais cela me rappelle des souvenirs je donne 5 étoiles.

Se ve muy mal y se nota mucho que es una copia de cinta decepcionado por que esta película me gusta mucho aun así le puse tres estrellas..en DVD se ve fatal muy mal
