Works quite well for getting an HDMI into a connection for an older pc. It is sturdy (but how could it not be?) and flexible enough to fit into a small space and bend the direction you need. You will need at least 1.5-2 inches of clearance to put it in, but I was quite pleased with how it works. I can plug in a second screen (or in this case, my digital drawing tablet) without any issues with the connection. No jiggling the cables, minimal moving my setup around to provide space. Just know, if you plan to plug something in that will require video and audio, this kind of connection does not work. I also doubt you would be able to run a massive display with 4K and high refresh rate without any issues, but I can't speak for that experience.

It works fine. Allows using an older monitor with DVI input with a new computer with only a HDMI output receptacle. It requires a regular HDMI cable, as used for a TV. DVI does not support integrated sound, so if your monitor has speakers, they will require an additional cable in order to use them.

I bought a new amateur radio that had an HDMI Output that I could use to display the main screen on the radio. I had a monitor that had both a HDMI and a DIV input. I use this monitor regularly as a second monitor on my computer. I used the adapter to have both my Radio and Computer hooked to the same monitor. All I have to do when I am using my radio is to use the monitor controls to change the monitor input to HDMI and I see my Radio on one screen and I still have my computer on my second screen. Great for having the radio on one and log book on the other. The adapter works exactly as described and well worth it.
