My daughter likes loud clothing 😂 she likes to make a statement! Anyways I was very very very skeptical that these would not be good due to the bad reviews. I did happen to give her thick long socks to wear with these because of the reviews of it hurting the kids ankles. She wore them all day, and after me asking her numerous times, she always said they did NOT hurt. They seemed to break in fairly quick. I bought 2 pair: Size 1 for my six year old; size 7.5 for my three year old. The sizes were both spot on. Unfortunately, even with knee socks, both girls complained that the boots rubbed badly above the ankles. My 3 year old said, "Ladybugs keep biting my ankles..."!! She had to take them off at preschool because she had developed raw marks where the cuff contacted the skin above the ankle bone! She couldn't wear for long without pain. I filled sandwich bag 1/2 way with water and put inside of boots and popped in freezer for few days, it stretch out that seam in the back of the boot that was rubbing against her heel. Fit is perfect now.
