Not as difficult as I thought
My laptop is 7 years old. The charging port was not working well at all. You'd have to insert the jack just right, and if you moved the cord, it would stop charging. So despite having never removed the cover of a laptop before, I decided to install a new one.I watched a YouTube video for my specific laptop, and had no issues at all. It works perfectly.The hardest part was making sure all the wires and screws went back in the right place (I had to unscrew the hinge and the fan to access my charging port). Definitely have a video of your specific laptop or take pics every step of the way so you get everything back where it goes.

False advertising, doesn't fit.
Advertised as functioning with 15-ay041wm when it clearly does not. Extra tab on the side means it doesn't fit into the designated spot on the motherboard. False advertising.
