Unreeling most of the hose makes it lighter to install, and then a tug on the hose and it reels itself up. Requires a two-person install, one to hold it and one to install the fasteners. Pre-drill pilot holes for large lag screws. I recommend using a Parker HF-251-6-FP (automatic) coupling on the end (for those using Industrial Interchange style quick disconnects). The difference is obvious when you pull it out of the box. Several friends bought cheap reels and not a one of them happy with them. These are high quality and will outlast several cheap reels. I bought a second one but chose the one with the double support. A little more but feels a lot more heavy duty. Only problem is you will have to buy your own swivel to hook your air supply up to the reel.
