I am SO glad I didn't get the 3-6 because the 0-3 was a bit large on him even still. He is in the 90% for height and 25% for weight, so that gives you an idea of his size. There was room to spare in the length and it would have fit him just fine even if he was a super chubby baby. I also had to roll the sleeves because they were long. The quality of the shirt is good - my only issue is that there is extra string in the button holes, so the buttons catch when you try to unbutton them. I'm glad I read a few other reviews because it does fit a little bit large. He typically wears an 18-month onesie but the 9-12 montg Romper fit with a little bit of room. However, if you put it in the dryer, it will shrink! There's a small amount of stretch in the material, so it isn't too hard to get on in my opinion. For the money, it's great quality and it seemed like he was comfortable moving around in it all evening! I would recommend as a cute dress shirt.
