I use to be a 11 handicap. I went through some health issues so I had to stop golfing for a year and a half. I lost 35 pounds. I was 200 pounds now 165 and 6 feet 1 inch tall. I quit when I was a 11 handicap and started back up recently over last 4 months. I have 20 plus rounds under my belt and my handicap got adjusted to a 19. Any way. With my health issues I lost a lot of distance. Used to drive a 45 inch Cobra F Speed driver about 250 yards. Well when I came back after the health issues I was Driving that ball about 190 to 210 yards. I have never been a huge hitter. I am a huge fan of the F Speed Cobra Head. I do love the stock shaft which is a Adilla. But I just needed more distance for my drive. I knew long drive hitters used longer shafts in their drivers. So I figured I would try one. I ordered the Vizion 50 which is 50 inches long. I did have it cut to a 48 inch because that is the longest legal shaft you can use in USGA handicap tournament play. And I am involved in a USGA mens club. So I went to the range 3 times with it and drove 120 balls with it. (Oh yeah and by the way I'm 43 years old.) It definitely added some distance to my drives. I would say it lets me go about 220 to 240 for now. In all actuality it is a whole different swing. So experimenting to find the right way to catch the sweet spot is a must. I hit it more consistently straight and further with the 48 inch than the standard 45 inch. I needed a little help with finding some yards and the Vizion did not let me down. I'm not gonna say it will work right away for anybody. But if you work with it, It just might be something for you. Works nice for me. And some may say why not just buy a new driver. Well I know the F Speed Cobra Head so well. I just feel so comfortable with it and have ultimate faith in its forgiveness and sweet spot. I have never hit another driver as consistently. And I have tried a lot of different drivers.
