high quality looking wrench
There are alot of wrenches to chose from on Amazon. I chose this wrench for the price and because the seller took the time the let people know how to use it and I quote "The Oil Filter Wrench Is Suggested To Use With A 3/8 Inch Drive For Tightening And A 27mm Socket For Loosening." Most of the wrenches are made of cast aluminum and will break if you use the 3/8" drive to take the oil filter housing off when it is too tight. The wrench is very good quality and the manufacturer even put a sticker on the wrench saying not to use the 3/8" drive to loosen the filter housing. I should work great , Toyota just changed my oil and I won't need it until next year. I know I am making it sound like I am not a real buyer but I truly am and I couldn't be happier with the wrench.

Good replacement for original part.
It is solid. Can confirm that it fits the original 2015 Prius oil filter cap. I tried it myself and could remove and replace the cap without any slipping.

Great tool, fits snuggly. Gets the job done.
I used a larger socket on the tool and placed a large amount of torque! This thing was on tight and was removed with the tool. 2015 Toyota Prius Three! I found my tool. Great quality and price.

Great Tool - Just Us It Right "GET THE CORRECT SOCKET"
Okay, I have used this tool on a 2010 Camry LE, 2011 Corolla S, and 2012 LE Camry, can you tell I am a Toyota guy? it worked great on all 3. As I have seen stated else where, the car dealerships seem to take joy in making shade tree mechanics life miserable and will tighten the canister to the point you can barely get it off. The typical torque requirement to install the canister is like 20 to 30 foot pounds not 90. The torque required to install the canister is molded into the top of the oil canister. As others have said, if you use a 3/8" drive socket on the tool you will likely break the tool, get the correct metric socket. I believe it is a 24 or 27 mm. Some of these tools I have seen no longer have the 3/8" socket built in, it is very tempting, but don't use it. Take the time and make sure you lineup the tool correctly with the notches in the tool with the tabs on the canister and fully engage the tool with the canister. You will probably need to gently tap the tool to get it off the canister after removing or installing the canister.

Junk China tolerances
Could have been a decent tool t a fair price but the junk won’t fit because the inside is too small. I had to go across town and buy a $35 tool at napa to get the job done before a long road trip. So annoyed!!

Worked great for me, but snug fit
This tool worked well for me and I'm happy with it. As mentioned in other reviews, I did have to tap lightly with a hammer to get the grooves to engage the tabs on the oil filter cap. Also, I had to work a little to remove the oil filter cap from the tool, no way was it going to come off just by hand. This is the first time I've changed the oil myself on my 2012 Corolla. I was surprised how hard it was to loosen the filter cap. My short socket handle was not enough torque, so I had to use my longer handle and really push. I saw the reviews with pictures of broken tools so I was worried, but it held up. I used the 3/8 inch drive on my socket handle since I did not have a socket big enough. My tool came with zero instructions and no sticker saying to use a socket, not the 3/8 drive hole as mentioned in other reviews. The Toyota plastic oil filter cap is marked for 25 Nm, that's only 18.4 ft-lbs. When I tightened the filter cap, I just put the tool on enough to engage the 14 flutes, but not the fins, and it came off the cap with no trouble. I used a torque wrench, so will be interested to see how easy it is to loosen the filter cap the next time. This tool seems well made to me. Yes, It's aluminum, but should be able to handle a properly torqued plastic oil filter cap. If this tool were to break for me, I would take the receipt to the shop that did my last oil change and demand they pay for a new tool. If it breaks after I did the last oil change and torqued it to only 25 Nm, I will get my money back from EWK/Amazon and change my review. So far so good.
