Heavy Duty Drum Liner Exactly As Described
A couple of the more recent reviews had me concerned so I think it's important to leave a current review. These are as described. They are 3 mil thick 55+ gallon drum liners. They are only slightly more pliable than the "husky contractor bags" I get at Home Depot. These PlasticPlace bags are just as thick, just as strong, and somewhat larger than those. These do not have the ears that the husky bags have for tying the top. If you don't over fill them, tying the top isn't a big deal with a single overhand knot, and for extra security for heavily loaded bags, a zip tie below the knot is appropriate (or a couple of wraps of duct tape). These do not come rolled in a dispenser box like the husky bags. They come in a flat box with two stacks of 25 neatly folded bags. I don't find that to be problematic, but a couple of the reviews I read seemed like a few folks were disappointed by the lack of dispenser. The reason I bought these rather than going to home depot for the husky bags I usually use: I bought a 44 gallon garbage can thinking that the 44 gallon bags would be appropriate. They were not. After comparing the physical dimensions listed for a number of contractor grade bags on Amazon and elsewhere and measuring the 44 gallon Rubbermaid Brute can I bought, these PlasticPlace bags were pretty much the only ones wide enough to fit over the top of the can properly. And, I can add that these fit perfectly almost as if they were made for that exact can. When the can is full to the top, lift the edges of the bag to fit yet another 10 gallons of stuff in and still easily be able to tie the bag shut. I will buy more of these and I do recommend them as a quality product.

Super strong but too pricey for every day trash
These Plasticplace Contractor Trash Bags 55-60 Gallon are super strong but too pricey for every day trash. These are clear plastic so contents will be visible. They have tie flaps at the top so they are easy to tie closed. Since they are 3 mils thick, they are very strong, durable, puncture and abrasion resistant. I use these for storing winter items, seasonal items and for transporting donations. I can see what's inside so nothing accidentally gets thrown away, mistaken for trash. I have had zero issues with these bags. Never popped or punctured one. They are perfect for my purposes.

Big, sturdy, smells like a nursing home
The bags are really thick! I have not pierced them by accident at all. It holds a lot, but really, good quality and price. But the smell!

LARGE AND TOUGH!
If you have a large garbage container, like a large square one with wheels, you need these very large bags. They are perfect in every way. They are deep, with a bottom plete that allows the bag to lie flat in the container so that it does not pull the top down as it is loaded. The top easily fits around even the largest container. They are strong enough for the toughest trash you have. We load them with thorn cactus branches and they easily handle these. We have tried several other bags, but they all had shortcomings, too small, too thin, etc. These bags are great, and the price is more than fair for what you get. Don't waste your $$ on other bags, your search for an excellent LARGE bag is over when you buy these! :-)

Inconvenient packaging
The bags are good, well made. The packaging is terrible, as these bags are folded into bundles in a large box. There is no easy way to get just one or two bags from the bundle. You have to remove the whole stack, unfold the stack of bags, remove one, then refold the pack to fit back into the box. Except.. the bags are heavy & slippery, so they slide everywhere while trying to refold the bundle and repack in the box. Ok if you are going to use a lot or most of them on one project, but a real pain if you only need one or two at a time.

Perfect for Rat-proofing Garage Items (double-bagging).
I purchased "Plasticplace Contractor Trash Bags 55-60 Gallon, Heavy Duty Garbage Bags, 3.0 Mil Clear Trash Bags, Tear-Resistant Large Trash Can Liners for Construction, Recycling & Home Improvement (50 Count)" in September 2025 because I needed to rat-proof just about everything in my garage. Anything that couldn't be put in a tub or that really needed to be in a cardboard box was double-bagged in these contractor bags, including flattened moving boxes and loose packing paper (which were elevated on top of the tubs). I elevated everything in my garage on wheeled platforms or wire shelving or on top of the tubs. I single-bagged anything that I don't want dust on - fans, lamps. I found that the 3ML thickness of these bags made it very difficult to tie off the bag into a knot, so I twisted the bags as tightly as possible and then taped the twist to the bag with Scotch extra-strength packing tape in several places along the twist. When double-bagging, I did this to both bags, and inserted the first bag twist-down into the second bag. I thank ChatGPT5 for all these ideas and instructions! Highly recommend these bags.

Thick and strong
We have bought a few boxes of these to help with a toy and coat drive. They have been very sturdy and we have been so happy with the quality.

Fabulous tear resistance but...
Really great quality....but..absolutely horrific packaging design....shipped folded flat and impossible to remove one without opening the entire box.

I wish you can subscribe to these bags. I use bin liner bag on all my trash cans. I tried 1.5mil thickness bags and they tear constantly with minimal effort. 3.0mil is the best thickness spec for bin liners. Good compromise between the cost of the ultra expensive 4,5,6mil thickness bags and the thinner cheaper 1.5mil bags. 3.0mil seems to hit the right bang for buck for me. This is a good size for the full size typical plastic trash bin with enough slack to wrap around the rim. Good product.

I have ordered this product on 3 occasions. We were quite satisfied with the first 2 purchases. However, from the most recent purchase, 3 out of the first 5 bags were cracked. Based on this, my expectations for the remaining bags are not high.
