I don't think the cord connecting the two ear-plug ends is strong enough to pull the trigger of any firearm. If they are, that trigger is dangerous, simply dangerous. As for hearing protection, these PLUS a quality pair of ear muffs (with a good seal around the ears) ought to do the job.

Per the information on the back of the blister pack, the ear plugs are made in the USA, the cord is attached in Mexico, and the case is made in China . Hope this helps.

No. The orange plugs are comprised of 3 individual plugs, one slightly within the other. The cluster is attached to the end of a blue plastic cord. The outer plug works as the insert stem as well as a noise plug. The plugs are the most comfortable and offer the greatest noise supresence. Three pair are included in the package and are not only durable but easy to clean. They are a great bargain for the quality of product.
