Body Cam
This is my very first body camera and it appears to do a good job for capturing clear vision videos and sound. The night vision with infrared works awesome at nighttime which is almost unbelievable. I was totally amazed with the infrared and how well it work. It took a little time learning to navigate through the menu options but if the camera manual is kept handy, the process of navigating the camera becomes easier. I enjoy wearing the camera in public as I have noticed that people tend to be nicer and much more respectful when a camera has been seen and in return wearing a body camera in public makes me feel much more comfortable and safer.

Nice camera, but with an annoying issue
So, I just received this camera today, and after one day's use I can say it is very well built and very easy to use. It is packed with features that I really like. My biggest gripe is that when I plug it into the dock, which is connected to my laptop, at least three times today, my laptop kept connecting and disconnecting from it. When I took it off the base each time, I still had the PC connection image on the display. While I was able to fix this with pressing the reset button, that's going to get real old real quick, and if it screws up when I'm trying to upload videos or images to my laptop, I'm worried I will have issues with data loss. Come on guys, this is a great camera. Y'all need to fix this. (UPDATE) So, I have yet again had to hit the reset button, but now the camera will not turn on at all. I don't know if something inside the camera broke or what, but tapping the reset button doesn't seem to be very easy. They don't give you a tool, and you have to blindly stick something in there to hit the reset button. In any event, I have reached out to the company for a replacement. I will update again once I have my replacement and if it's working. (UPDATE) Replacement camera arrived overnight. I am very pleased with this. Upon examining both cameras, it appears the reset button on the original camera snapped off or otherwise broke. Be very careful when pressing the reset button. I'll be sending the damaged camera back. I would still recommend this camera as it functions beautifully. I just hope I don't have to keep using the reset button. (FINAL UPDATE) I'm very happy with this camera. I have had no issues whatsoever with it. Because of that, my writing has gone from 1 to 5 Stars. It's good to see that there are a few companies on here who will stand behind their product. This one definitely does!

High quality, but maximum when you set pre-record time to 1 minute it only pre-records 40 seconds
High quality, but maximum when you set pre-record time to 1 minute it only pre-records 40 seconds My favorite feature is that it comes with a superb charging stand instead of just a cable. You can even put the camera in the charging stand with the clip on and a magnetic mount attached. When the device is charging, two lights appear on top of the camera, one read and one green, and when they both turn green, it's fully charged (and the charging stand also has a red power light to let you know that it's plugged in). If you charge it from your computer (by plugging the charging stand's USB plug into one of the USB ports on your computer), then the device shows up as a drive on your computer, letting you easily transfer files to your computer without having to install any software (on a Windows PC). The only drawbacks I've seen so far: 1) It doesn't come with a magnetic mount, only a clip, so if you want a magnetic mount, you have to buy one separately. But that's ok, because there are several different types of mounts you can buy, so people can choose the one they prefer. 2) When testing the "pre-record" feature with the pre-record time set at "one minute" (the longest time period you can choose for "pre-record"), it actually only pre-records 40 seconds, not one minute. This means the maximum pre-record time you can set is only 40 seconds. 3) The "Delay record" feature, which is supposed to continue recording for a set period of time after the camera is turned off, doesn't work the way you might expect. The main purpose I can see for the "delay record" button is so that if a bad guy forces you to shut your bodycam off, it will continue recording for a while, so then what is the point if the red light is going to continue flashing, letting the bad guy know that it's still recording? I expected it to give some indication that you've pushed the "video recording button" to turn it off, but no, when you push the button to stop recording, nothing happens--no vibration, no sound, and the red light continues flashing, so you can't even tell whether nor not you pushed the correct button or whether or not you held it down long enough. It's frustrating to repeatedly try to turn it off and getting no indication whether or not you've pressed the correct button or held it down long enough. When it's in the "delay record" mode, turning off the master power switch on top shuts it off immediately. 4) The owner's manual doesn't describe all of the menu functions. For example, the webcam menu has a setting called "Secret_Mode" that is either "On" or "Off," but there is no description of that in the owner's manual. Apparently Secret_Mode is so Top Secret SCI that the owner's manual is afraid to display it! Whatever "Secret_Mode" is, it doesn't refer to the recording light flashing or not, because there is a SEPARATE menu option called "LED Light" that controls whether the record light flashes red while the device is recording.

Just buy it.
I fear for my wife's safety everyday as she travels to work and back home again because of where we live, and since she works retail she has already been assaulted once by meth addicts. The drugs are bad here, and the addicts have no remorse for you, your family or lively hood. They're always entitled while making life hard for working people, and will even retaliate through various ways including vandalizing your vehicle if you for example, bust them for shoplifting, because how dare you make a living. So, therefor I bought two of these 1296P HD body cams and have been using them for over a year now. It will hold a charge for a full shift, but the trick to that is lowering the resolution down, which still gives a great picture. We leave one of them in the Truck as a dashcam that records and entire 9/10hr shift, and back home again, usually stars beeping dead halfway home. I love that you can even adjust recording length before the cam will start recording new video, which ours is set for 30 min incase we need to show the police something and go back, I feel 30 min videos are reasonable. You can record only audio if you wish, and the night vision is really good for what it is. Snap pictures, record video, or only audio at the press of a button all on the side of the device. Final thoughts. These bodycams are reliable and well built to last.

Some great Pros and some serious cons.
Alright so.. Ive been using this cam for a few months and as the title mentions, this camera has some serious pros and cons: Pros: the picture quality and the IR function are fantastic. Water resistant and it appears to be pretty rugged. Cons: THE BATTERY! This thing literally takes about 10-12 hours for a full charge. And if your lucky, you get about 8 hours on standby. About 2-4 of actual recording time depending on how much the IR is being used. I work 12 hour graveyard shifts in armed security in a not-so-safe area and this camera has failed me on multiple occasions. Due to the long charge time and limited usage I am forced to pick my moments when recording. Not great for actually catching people in the act of something. When SHTF your forced to act first and worry later. Along with several minor conflucts, The battery died on me literally minutes before I caught someone smashing a car window, and just tonight it missed a breaking and entering moment because it quit the moment I unplugged it. (It turns off automatically when unplugged) heard smashing noises, grabbed the cam and did my job. Camera missed the entire event. Tldr: it's a great camera. But utterly useless for professional usage. If your working law enforcement or security, I can NOT under any circumstances recommend this.

Amazing Body Camera! Look No Further!
OK, to be completely fair and honest I am on my second camera. The first camera worked well except it would not connect to my PC at all. Since it would not connect and turn on I could not retrieve any files on it. I tried two USB cables and three different USB ports. Replacement camera arrived yesterday and the first thing I tried was connecting to my PC. It worked! But, there is something interesting to share with others: It will NOT connect to USB 3.0 ports! It never boots up and the PC cannot find it. So I plugged it into a USB 2.0 port and Voila! It works. I don't know if others are having this issue but I do. Once you get this camera do not assume it is setup to work the way you want it. Loop recording is off as is the GPS. The menu is extremely easy to turn on and maneuvering through it is fairly seamless and easy to change the settings. There are a lot of features in this little camera so make sure you go through all the settings before using it. So far no real complaints except the USB 3.0 issue but one thing that bugs me is it only comes with one USB cable yet you really need two. You need one for the charging adapter and another to plug into the PC. Now if you don't mind unplugging and plugging in the one cable it comes with then no worries. However, doing so will definitely wear the cable and charger system ports quickly. The USB cable plug is an extended type plug so it will reach into the camera port firmly. Most USB cables are NOT like this so don't try to jam any ole cable into that camera port. What I did was use another standard USB 2.0 cable for the charger and use the USB cable that came with the camera to connect to the PC. After using this camera a few weeks I will come back and adjust this review as needed. But for now, from what I can see using the camera I highly recommend it. Just make sure it works completely before the 30 day return window closes and make sure you don't record anything on it you don't want others to see because you cannot delete the files if it won't connect to your PC. LOL.

Bar Security
At first, I was a little optimistic about the price once I received a scammer inside the mail. I quickly put it to charge within an hour. It was fully charged ready to go the first day that I used it at my job. I am a bouncer at a high traffic bar and grill, I am primary so I run the door and constant contact with people ID checking for patdown the quality of the video and the audio is amazing. Also, the in and out of brightness to darkness and infrared automatically kicking in is a huge plus I was very shocked to see how the audio is being inside the bar with the music being very loud and I can still hear the person talking to bulletproof us and while it did fall a couple of times when I would lean on the counter, that is my fault for not being used to having the camera set in the middle. It is very rugged and I read a couple of reviews about the battery life so to be honest, I start work at 9 PM. My camera stays on up to 3:30 AM , I put it on standby mode when I go to the bathroom or when thereโs no traffic coming into the doors also be on standby mode is maybe a half hour so all in all I am getting almost 6 hours of time sometimes five hours very impressive and I highly recommend this camera to all my security personnel that work in the Bar industry or club industry as it is very cost-effective to keep yourself safe

This product fails quickly.
The basic operation and video quality is good. However, I own two units of which the first failed within 1 year and the second unit failed in less than 3 months, which is outside the return date limit. These Body Cams are not worth your money, buy a Body Cam from a different Manufacturer. :-(

Excellent product!
This is a fantastic product. It works amazingly. Itโs simple to figure out how to use it & the screen and picture quality works great. The only crappy thing is you canโt delete recorded footage off the device itself.
