I am ADDICTED
The salon my hair stylist works for uses strictly Amika products. I had never seen the brand before switching to my new stylist, but I’m so so glad I’ve discovered it. I had been cycling thru a few different shampoo/conditioners due to scalp psoriasis & oily hair, but couldn’t really find one that tackled all of my problems. That is, until I started using Amika!Pros:- a little goes a long way (I shampoo twice and I def use less product w/ Amika compared to other brands)- it hydrates my hair without making it heavy- I’m able to go more days between washes as my scalp doesn’t get as oily as quickly- no more flakes!!- no itchiness or redness- smells AMAZING- makes my hair super shiny and soft- the ingredients are clean compared to other brandsCons:- price (worth it in my opinion, but if it’s a little too much for you, Amika has a sister brand called Eva NYC that’s available in target)- the large bottles are a bit hard to work with due to it not coming with a pump nor a squirt top. I personally refill some plain pump bottles I got off Amazon, but it can definitely get messy.Overall an 11/10

Un gros OUI
Ce shampoing est mon préférée. Je suis tombé en amour. Très hydratant tout comme l’après shampoing. Ne rend pas les cheveux sec et il sent le ciel. Je l’adore ♥️♥️

This bottle is best price per ounce
I adore the smell, vanilla and a bit floral. After using for three years now, my hair is super healthy with nice body and shine, don’t have any issues with build up like some other shampoos.

Actually Costs LESS than Pantene!
I switched from Pantene Volume on the advice of my hair stylist. This product does better and is much healthier for the hair. How do I know? Answer: I don't have to shampoo as often! Pantene gave me 2-3 days before it looked like my hair was dirty, needing cleaning. With Amika, it's 4-6 days before cleaning needed. I've gone 7 days and it wasn't like "OMG your hair". So, if I don't use the shampoo as often, the true cost of shampoo (how many ounces I buy in a year) is way less with Amika!BTW, I used Amika's Volume Shampoo. It FAILED! Volume was WORSE! Normcore delivers volume like you can't believe. Period. So, I told my 33-yr-old daughter about Normcore and let her use it in a recent visit by her. Right after showering, she said "this is the best shampoo I've ever used!". So, I turn people on to Normcore, but I do have an issue with Amika...Order the big 33.8 oz bottle and... you get... NO PUMP!! REALLY, Amika? Weak in marketing and market reserach, I see. If you offer a pump for $5, anyone buying the big size will buy one. WIN-WIN: You recover your pump costs and customers are happy. But right now? NOT HAPPY! In fact, you actually motivate me to find a similar shampoo from a manufacturer who provides a pump option.

Great hair product but misleading by company
I’m a big Kevin Murphy believer and have stuck with those products for a few years now due to seeing how much/fast it helped my hair grow. My stylist had Amika products at the salon, so I decided to try the mirrorball set, and loved it! The only downside was the bottle design in that it’s hard to get all the product out; So I decided to buy the normcore set in the 33.8 oz size so I could buy a pump to make it easier to get the product out. The problem is Amika doesn’t give you the measurements of the bottle neck so I ordered two different sizes of pumps. I bought a universal 1 inch pump, and a wide (joico) pump. After receiving and trying both pumps, neither worked. I looked at the Amika site to see if they sold pumps for their bottles and they do, however it’s a COMPLETE rip off!! They sell the pumps for around 30 dollars! So long story short, the company obviously intentionally designs their awkward sized bottles to force people to pay an insane amount for a plastic pump. This was so disappointing because I thought the shampoo and conditioner set worked great together, and made my hair feel really soft and has a great smell too.
