Piece of Chinese Garbage
Made in China should have been a red flag. It broke 10 minutes into using it for the first time clearing out some grass along the front porch.

sharp and efficient. the handle could be a bit longer in order to develop more torque when cutting

Just what I ordered.
I am in a place where I wear out coconut knives. Between the coconut leaves, banana leaves, and cutting sidewalls from car tyres, I need knives every few years. This company has always got the knives and ships it quick. Well wrapped. Thanks.

handle too small made for tiny hands
I like the function of a Scythe as I recently lost a favorite tool I found this product on line and purchased it as a replacement , but being made in China they have to idea the size of hands of us Americans. Sad how everything is made in China . We need our own manufacturing resurgence. Summation would be a good tool with a better handle - TOO SMALL.

An old type of tool but newly constructed.
I bought this as a needed gift for a friend of mine who is in the Lukumi spiritual tradition. He appreciated it very much because it fit the requirements he needed for the implement precisely.

Quality super lacking
This is a very cheap scythe. Its sharp, but super small. Handle is wood but is not smooth. Over all functionality is lacking.

Handy size with good construction.
This hand scythe is well made and the right size to clear weeds under the fence.

Serrated edge poorly done, sharpening only helped a little. Will likely grind the serrated teeth off when i have a chance. Handle broke within first 3 uses, have replaced with a mahogany cutoff i had laying around. Would not buy again at this price as it is more expensive than roughly the same thing at my local store. Sheesh

I thought it would be perfect for chopping the goutweed back from taking over my yard. I still have to use it to see if cutter is sharp either .

Was really happy when we found this scythe but within a month the blade had come over of the handle - pfft :(
