I suffer from Plantar faciitis if not in shoes with good support, and I have DVT which causes my foot, ankle, and calf to swell. So to find a brand of shoe that is attractive, has a heel, and is comfortable usually does not occur in one shoe. This Shoe Does That. I wore this shoe a couple of time in the evenings to prepare myself for an all day wear at a social event just to ensure I would not suffer from ankles that were rubbed raw at my event. So, yes I broke them in a little. But, besides that I can confirm that I was able to wear these from 11:00 in the morning until 7:00 at night. This covered my event and some downtown sightseeing in San Antonio at the Alamo on uneven pavement. I survived this without any sore feet, sore back, or blistered ankles. This show performed well. I really loved that it came in a color that was not only in black or beige. As always with Vionics, the arch and heel cup are a miracle.The bad: Why doesn’t Vionic make these in a wide (c/d) width?The really ugly: Back of the shoes cut into my ankles. They look well made, and the heel height was perfect, just what I was looking for. However, the shoes themselves had a horrible fit. I put them on to try them, and immediately knew they would be returned. Often with vionic I size up, but with these I bought the size I would usually wear, and they were way too big for a 7.5 size shoe. What was even worse was the arch placement was not at all where my arch was, not even close. It was in my heel, not even close to my arch!
