I have a 34 inch screen door and MD only offers 32 and 36 inch lengths. If you have a 34 inch door and have a hack saw, vice, bench grinder and a electric drill and 5/32 drill bit, simply cut off 5/8 inch off each leg, grind and file the leg ends, then re-drill the screw holes. I used the vice to tweak the legs so they all lay flat on the screen door surface. It took me one hour including installation and it is just what I needed...GT in Arizona

Nice quality, but this size was too narrow from top to bottom for our needs. Very good for protecting the door from your hands going through the screen, but if your hands are full, it will not protect the screen if you use your hips to push/hold open the door. I will be ordering in the wider size because it is a nice product.

Protects full screen door from damage as users push on screen vs this guard. I painted it to match door with spray can.

I liked this well enough to buy a second one for our other screen door. The kids were destroying the screens. This item has almost completely solved that problem. I'll still catch them pushing on the screen now and then, but that's no fault of the product. The only thing I might have done is installed a larger one covering more of the door.

This is a perfect for protecting the upper screen of the door from the tap of my dogs, to be let in, if the doggy door is closed.I did have to cut one of the mounting arms to fit around the door handle.

I bought this because between my cat and my dog, I have already had to re-screen our slider twice in just over a year. I thought this would work great. I have to say that their measurements are way off. As others mentioned, there is a gap on the edges between the side of your door framing and where the mesh begins. Based on their measurements and measuring my door this gap should only have been about an inch and half on each side. Not the case at all, it's more like 4 inches each. There are in fact no directions for installation included either, you just have to wing it. So far so good as far as getting my pets to stop clawing, I just wish there was a 100% mesh version without the spacers out there.
