I can only hang one garment with two beads.** A: If you use the beads, I don't think so. The beads serve to squish together a part of whatever piece of clothing you're drying. If you only have one, there'd be no squishing. I would suggest buying some cheap, lightweight clothesline. Or just do what I did when I realized the beads totally didn't work for me . . just hang your clothes over the line! **Q: How do you secure the line?** A: Each end has a plastic hook (one is on the case) and you just loop the line around something stationary, then hook the line to itself. Very easy. **Q: What material is this made of? Is it latex?** A: It is not latex, but rather a cord, possibly nylon, that is incredibly versatile in its use. Did not disappoint and very pleased with it. First of all, love that it is very small and very light weight. Perfect for packing. No worries about the light weight in terms of durability. It’s very strong and had no issues with holding heavy clothing. I personally prefer clothes pins and purchased metal clothes pins to hang the clothes so they wouldn’t be wrinkled. I also bought heavy duty hook magnets (can hold 170 lbs.) and attached them to the walls of my cruise stateroom. Easy to clip/secure the ends of this string to the hooks. When I was hanging a bunch of stuff, I used 4-5 hooks depending on the weight. When I finished, the line easy returns into its little pouch.
