Q: Size please! How many sticks of butter does it hold? Thanks

It holds 2 sticks of butter. But if you wanted to put more in, just let the butter soften and you could probably add another stick by filling in the sides. I use the big side to put the butter in and the other side for the lid. The inside size is 3 3/4 x 6 1/4.

Q: will a cream cheese 8oz bar fit inside comfortably?

I've never tried the cream cheese, but 2 sticks of butter side by side fit nicely. I would think it would fit.

Q: I'm wondering if it will hold the one pound butter blocks that I buy. They are approx. 4 3/4" long by 2 1/2" square?

If your butter is on the soft-side when you put it in, you can squish it down and it will fit. Buying the 1/4 sticks is much easier though.

Q: Will the glass have the slightly green color of recycled glass?

We have two of them and neither have a greenish color. They are clear glass. We think they are very nice. We got one as a gift and then we bought another.
