Every guitarist needs a solid collection of classical pieces to successfully perform at weddings, private parties, restaurants, and other venues. The Huge Book of Classical Guitar Solos in TAB is your ticket to playing any of these occasions with ease. With over 150 solo guitar arrangements of the best-known classical pieces, this collection features both standard music notation and TAB to make learning the pieces quick and easy. It includes compositions from various parts of the world and numerous periods in music history---from the Renaissance to ragtime. With this book, you will be ready for every solo gig that comes your way. Review: Songs are great for students to learn but some arrangements are not good enough for professional settings. - There are many songs in here for different levels. Some of my favorites are Prelude of the Cello Solo No. 1, Recuerdos de la Alhambra, and Dance of the Sugar Plum fairy - they are the reason for my rating of five stars. I think that the written music just above the tab manuscript is a great way for students to learn sheet music quickly. About half of the songs are not good enough for professional gigs, however. Shame that something called The Huge Book of Classical Guitar Solos doesn't have "The Harmonious Blacksmith", which is a very popular tune. Review: Broad selection, but questionable arrangements - The biggest disappointment is the false advertisement in the preview of the website where the "Arrangements by" includes a well-known & respected classical guitarist, teacher (USC), and author Scott Tennant, but his name is absent in my copy of the book (see photo). It was a selling point for me on the book's legitimacy concerning musical arrangements, especially to justify the price. Overall, a lot of selections, large and sharp print, finger suggestions, reference pages on notation & tablature, & the book can stay open on a chair (sometimes w/ binder clip). The book's dimensions are similar to a binder (12" tall, 9" wide, & 1" thick). Would I attend a class if this was a required text?: no. 4 stars because the arrangements are probably not one would expect, but there are some fun pieces.

These arrangements are so very beautiful.
After I purchased this book my students have bought their own copies as well. I took it to a local UPS store to have it spiral-bound because it is so thick. I took it to a local UPS store to have it spiral-bound because it is so. These arrangements are so very beautiful.

Nice big book to keep you busy and build your skill
Well organized with a very nice compendium of works. This book will take me a couple years to master. The arrangements are not always the most common (compared to versions on YouTube which I use for cadence and tempo), but are laid out well enough on the fingerboard to be able to play with relative ease. I've only made a few minor corrections based on my playing skill. I have noticed a few errors in both the cleft and tab versions of the songs, so pay attention. If it doesn't look right, it might not be.

This book is an excellent study material for the serious classical guitarist
This book is an excellent study material for the serious classical guitarist. It will take me a lifetime to study every music piece in this book. I could only wish that a CD was available for this book. It would have been a very invaluable companion for any aspiring classical guitarist.

Good music book but full of mistakes
I showed the book to my guitar instructor and he said it was very good for me. However, I keep finding mistakes in the tablature. I correct the songs, but shouldn't have to.

If you read TAB
My daughter reads TAB more easily than regular notation and she plays classical guitar, so was happy to get this collection as a Christmas gift. She liked the great variety of pieces and is having no trouble with any of them. Good for her, great for me to hear her play!

He loves it - so it is fine.: )
Purchased for my husband who plays classical guitar. I personally was hoping for some modern classical guitar songs but the book is mostly classical music with one song not being classical music. He loves it - so it is fine. :)

Great for students who haven't yet learned to read music.
Great for students who haven't yet learned to read music. There's a lot of classical repertoire with tab in just one book.

All you need
Donโt buy anything else if you want to play classical music on your guitar. This is the most complete collection and it goes beyond the shortened versions of other books. It works very well on the kindle app on iPad. Iโm very happy with this purchase. Would buy again.

Fantastic, especially for the price.
I'm just beginning to play guitar after a 13year break. This book is packed full of great music and all very playable. There is a nice introduction explaining how to read the tab and some of the musical notation. Most of the songs you recognise when you play even if you don't know all of their names. If you were to buy one book for beginning classical guitar this would be it. It has such a selection I think you would be doing well to play all of them. I'm looking forward to the many hours, days, weeks probably months of enjoyment this book will give me. The only problem is which tune to master first, there are so many beautiful ones to choose from.

Nice tunes
It's a great book with really nice classic tunes, however I wish there were more variety as I feel like lots of the tunes are very similar to each other.
