Some of it's extremely funny, but due to the subject matter, some of it is quite drearily depressing. But no doubt accurate and a good way to learn about growing up in the middle east.

This is really really good. From a consumer perspective, I really enjoyed it. From a teacher perspective, it has so many examples of "talking about oneself" and using the imperfect tense. It was a great example tool for my French class in high school.

la revelation de cette anne. Meme si on a parfois un peu l'impression de retrouver les carnets de Jerusalem ou de Joe Sacco, le style est tres personnel et on voyage vraiment a des annees lumieres. la suite, vite!

Tolle Zeichnungen, absolut sehen- und lesenswert. Die Geschichte ist trocken, detailreich und liebevoll erzählt und gezeichnet, dabei entsteht viel Humor. Geschichtliche Hintergründe werden nebenbei erklärt und der Allgemeinbildung Einiges geboten.
