Just what we wanted.
Happy and having fun with our electric oven, after searching and reading many reviews on various similar products. We were looking specifically for the rotisserie feature, and a convection oven, besides the toasting function. "Digital" operation is too confusing for us "ol' folks", so the manual was what we were hoping to find, though if need be, we would have settled for the "tech version". This had it all, besides pleasantly finding a "defrost" selection, and the preference for a pull-down door with handle. Oh, and easy cleaning. The main use would be for warming up left overs, baking and slow cooking meats using the rotissaerie. We have enjoyed slow roasted cooked chickens, several times from the local groceries, so, decided to do it ourselves. In reading about this brand and this particular model, I was first hesitant after viewing the photos. The size and the "bars" sticking out the back, caused hesitation. But we were wanting a toaster and rotisserie both in one model, very much, so accepted the fact for its size. However, when setting it upon the counter, it was smaller than our table top microwave used for years. Nothing was needed to "set" it up...you just removed it from the box, and it was ready to use. An handbook, Instructions for Use, accompanied it, which is used for four different models. It is a well explanable pamphlet, describing the appliance parts with accurate drawings, directions, comments and tips for baking and cleaning, along with drawings. << WARNING >>......When on, oven's complete external casing it HOT!, except the door handle. Obviously why the "bars" sticking out at back...ventilation. ...ROTISSERIE... DOES IT WORK? Yes! For the most part, the video included with the description, was good. I agree with review comments...the picture of the fowl was a bit inaccurate. Have cooked a pork roast and a chicken. Both were wonderful after seasoning. But, because with no roasting experience with a spit and two "forks", it took me about an half hour to prepare it, until it was anchored, and rotated without slipping. It helps to be agile in order to maneuver the loaded spit into the sides of the oven...not too much room. Good thing that I had some thick rope (which did not burn upon roasting) on hand, to tie the wings to the bird. Somehow I missed reading the mention of using kitchen string. The 3.75 lb. pork barely cleared the top and bottom heating elements. It was the same with a 3.25 lb. chikcen. Per Manuel, the rotisserie can be used for a load up to 4.5 lbs. (?) I am not sure what that could be, other than Cornish Hens. When shopping for the ckicken, I looked at Cornish Hens...I am guessing you could roast two together. Though the sizes were in the ounces, they were expensive. The Manuel recommends approximate cooking times per food per weight. For grilling with the spit: Chicken,3-4lbs.,120min. Pork,2-3lbs.,90min. For each, it took those times, minus 15 minutes. ...TOASTING... The Manuel shows the arrangements for up to six slices, but that is crowding it. I was satisfied with the selections...a bit harder slices than in a regular toaster. ...BAKING... You can bake cakes, etc., but we just warm leftovers, which is nice, but you must know what temperature you want. Depending if I am preparing a meal, I use Slow Bake. Have yet to try a pizza(s) in it (one for each rack - you receive two). ***KNOBS and SETTINGS*** (with only one drawback thus far) ...Temperature: Keep Warm,250,320,390,Toast/Broil, with one calibration between the numerals. This is what I found was the only DRAWBACK...if cooking directions call for 375, you must guess the knob position. ...Function: Fan&Bake,Slow Bake,Defrost,Broil&Rotis.,Bake. ...Oven/Toast Color: Toast (turning clockwise)...Light,Medium,Dark. Selection activates the timer. Oven (turning counter clockwise)...shows the word, "ON", which activates the oven, itself to function, according to set up with prior two knobs. CLEANING: Easy. Well, if you are still awake or have not shut me off, I hope this exhaustive review helps with your considetation of purchasing a quality oven, for a very reasonable price. We have. Thank you for your time.

Works great with a lot of space
This product works great! It heats food evenly and quickly and has many different settings depending on the food type and cooking job. You can toast, bake, broil, and even defrost food in this baby! The only downside to this item is the amount of counter space it eats up. Because of the rotisserie function, there is a concaved section that sticks out from the back that you can't see in the frontal view. There are two rubber stoppers at the bottom of each side on the back to keep the unit away from the wall. Works great, more filling!

Great for college students, people who are cooking for 1-2 people, or those with little kitchen space
DeLonghi RO2058 6-Slice Convection Toaster Oven with Rotisserie I really like this item. I am not a good cook at all. I am a US citizen living and working in Mexico. Kitchens here are *very* small. When I moved to this house it did not come with an oven and for the first 18 months I did not care. But then I started wanting things like... frozen pizza. My kitchen is too small for standard oven/stove. I purchased this item and I really like it. It does not take up a huge amount of space yet it does what I need it to do. I do not put drippy/squirty/mess-causing things in there such as a rotisserie chicken, I don't want to clean it. But I do make baked wings, frozen foods that need reheating, foods that need the broiler such as garlic bread, it's ideal for me. I supposed one down side is that if you set the timer for the longest length of time it is exactly 10 minutes and you have to continue turning it on every 10 minutes but for an elderly person, a forgetful person, a college student that makes it even more ideal for them. If you don't cook a great deal and you don't have a huge amount of kitchen space, this is it.

Oven Should Be Banned
From the first time I used this oven I knew I was in trouble. To start,I saw that the oven was a fire hazard since the entire outside of the oven was very hot, becoming a danger to all. Children must be kept away at all cost. The idiot who designed this oven must be brain dead. The tracks that support & guide the racks are not continuous and as a result when you slide the rack half way, the rack tilts spilling the contents to the rear of the oven down to the heating element and causing a fire. Or the rack tilts forward and the contents spill forward and the rack, which is very hot ,winds up on the floor. Why the guide tracks are not continous ,like all other ovens I've owned, is sheer stupity. The racks will not support the food as all other ovens do. The oven should be recalled and removed from public use. Also, making toast takes forever if you use the middle rack The tracks are not spaced properly, since the oven is large and the middle rack takes too long to receive the heat generated from the coils, takes 20 minutes to make toast on the center rack and you have to turm the bread over to insure that both sides are toasted the same. This oven is so much trouble that I wish I had returned it. I am going to use the old oven and retire this one. I would never donate this item because it is such a big hazard to anyone not familiar with piece of junk. DeLongi should be forced to recall and replace it with a model that is safe to use.

love our DeLonghi
The purpose of our purchase of this oven was to use the microwave less. Also to keep the kitchen cooler in the summer, we live near Phoenix and it is the perfect way to bake without all the heat. Finding baking pans has been a problem. The rotisserie is a big disappointment, as it is to close to the top of the oven, so have never used it. I tried to put a roast on it, but the roast was to big for this purpose, it was not a very big roast, guess it is only for bite size pieces. I will try it again someday, to be able to find a way to make it work. I love the way it reheats pizza, crisp crust. It reheats fast without making leftovers soggy. Bakes fast and well, only remember it is a small oven, you have to change the way you use this oven compared to the old standby oven, keep them both.

Strong on Looks, Weak on Performance and Durability
This is a good looking toaster oven with a lot of features; it's big without being too big. On the down side, compared to the 8 year old Cuisinart it replaced, it is very slow to heat up and takes a long time to toast. The settings for the knobs, which determine the function being used, are a bit confusing. And, sadly, the quality does not seem to be all that great. After 3 months of use, the rod which holds the door in place has come loose and the left side of the door is no longer properly hinged. Even though it is still under warranty, it will cost $12 to ship to the manufacturer and according to their literature they'll fix it but not replace it. I don't think it's worth the $12. I'm wishing I had hung on to my beat up Cuisinart - it wasn't pretty but it still worked well after years of daily use.

It got to me super fast and completely undamaged
Went to Macy's to buy a replacement of this same model. They no longer sold them. So after looking around I found this one, on line, and at a lower price than I paid for the first one. It got to me super fast and completely undamaged. Everything works fabulous. I liked this model the first time I bought it as it has a large cooking capacity and all the nice features you could ask for. Other models that are similar are priced at 3 time this unit. I expect to have it for a very long time. The same model purchased before lasted 6 years before the wife decided to torch (cooked it for 3 hours) a Cornish hen in it. I couldn't get the burnt smell out of it. It still worked fine but thought it was time for a replacement. "Worth every penny!"

Really enjoying this product
We are really enjoying this toaster oven with rotisserie. The only feature I really don't like is that the racks do not pull out when I open the door and then they don't have a stop on them so that they fall out if pulled out just a little too far. The rotisseie has worked beautifully for a whole chicken, a pork loin roast and a turkey breast. Toasting is not as even as a standard toaster, but if you place your bread, english muffin, etc in the positions recommended in the booklet it does a passable job.

Meets all expectations
We ordered this toaster oven after our previous one (not Delonghi) failed and parts were not available. I was a little unsure of this one, as DeLonghi is not a common name for small appliances compared to others. It arrived quickly, and we have had it in use for about a month. We don't use it for toasting, as I have never found that a toaster oven of this size is sensible for that task compared to a conventional toaster... takes too long, probably burns too much power. But, we do make a lot of use of the oven features, particularly with only two people in the house. It performs very nicely in that regard. Handles a 12" pizza with no problems, and offers a variety of rack options and positions (three grooves). I was surprised to find that the tray operates as a rack, sliding into the grooves, leaving the two wire racks either for spare or for other items. On our last oven, the tray had to sit on a rack. There was some indication in other reviews of either racks or the tray falling when removing it, but we have not experienced that at all. Cooks quickly, operates quietly with the convection fan. Haven't made use of the rotisserie option. Gets a bit hot around it, so had to do some re-arranging to allow good airflow behind the unit. Smaller than our previous oven (a Black & Decker), but just as capable inside.

perfect
The oven, is very spacious, holds the temperature very well, quality tray and racks, the on switch always has a ticker sound even when not using the timer, 9.5 out of 10.

Solid build and just the right size
Had this for a week. We use it twice every day. Just the right size and colour and does not look cheap. Baked 3 mini meat loafs at a time then a regular size meat loaf and then 2 more mini meat loafs for a large event. Turned out perfect. Bread is not in our diet, so did not test the toasting capabilities. Only the solid steel handle and the controls are cool to the touch. The rotisserie feature; frankly, is not a suitable feature unless you are into kebabs, sausages or hot dogs. That's because anything larger could strike the upper heating elements and start a fire. Anyway it would make the insides of the oven messy. Also I wish it had an enamel bake pan like our slightly smaller DeLonghi that "died" after 5 years of intensive service. The heating elements started warping to look like bows without a string. There was an electric arc one day and that was it. It should have met it's maker for a postmortem. For value for the money, we hope this one lasts 5 years; like it's predecessor and the heating elements behave themselves and not get bent out of shape! As a retired couple that both cook most of our meals, a counter-top workhorse of a convection oven is indispensable and saves bit a fair on our our electric bill. This one with some TLC might just do the job.

Like this oven a lot
Love it! We already have one of these, though it is an earlier model and the electric elements are warping. We needed a toaster oven at the cottage so the old one went there, and the new one is in our kitchen. It's a bit bigger than I would like ideally, but works perfectly heats up fast and cooks evenly, Even though the new oven rack fits across the whole oven; the heat still seems to circulate OK. It has an interior light, which most ovens do not. I haven't tried the rotisserie yet.

Great Rotisserie - made me wish I bought it sooner
I already have a toaster and a oven. What I wanted was a Rotisserie. I looked up a lot of reviews before going with this oven and I am happy to say I was not disappointed. I received it today and already used to Rotisserie a chicken. Turned out fantastic. I might keep my old toaster or might not, but I am definitely going to put this new one to a lot of use. One thing I noticed, that it makes no mess at all. All the drippings collect nice and easy. Absolutely negligible splatter on sides. Does that happen with all Rotisseries? Anyway, not important any more.
