Real carbon fiber feel and look
I ordered this to update my Model S interior trim. The 60" x 24" is plenty for the dash trim and cup holder area. I had about a 24x24" section left over. I removed the trim from the car in order to work on it. However, I'm sure applying while the trim is in place will give satisfactory results. Very easy to work with. It feels strong but forgiving. Watch some videos on how to apply vinyl and you're good to go. Material has a raised (3D) feel to it. Feels like real raw carbon fiber. Very cool. Be careful when using a squeegee. If you dont have a soft edge against it, you may scratch it. Very happy with results.

will be ordering more
It looks really close to the real thing. Very pleased with the quality. Easy to apply with some heat otherwise it's kinda stiff to get over curves but once it's warmed up a little, all the difference. I recommend hanging a heat gun above ure workstation so u can just lift up what ure working on a little to warm it up and u can keep both hands free to stretch and pull.

look really nice. Other parts look good but I definitely need ...
This was my first vinyl product. Product seems solid though my first use of it has been amateurish. The pieces of my motorcycle (bar ends) I managed to wrap well, look really nice. Other parts look good but I definitely need more experience. The product is indeed 3M as is marked on the backside. Applied it using the low setting of a heat gun. Only melted one piece by overheating. Applying heat to a wrinkled piece causes it to return to its original shape. Great product. Look forward to trying my hand at wrapping a few more pieces.

Good looking product
Nice product, difficult to work on curved surfaces.

Excellent material, very pliable
I used it on the interior trim in my 2011 BMW and it worked perfectly. I have no previous experience with any other vinyl product so I cannot really compare, but I can say that it was pretty straightforward to install, even for a first-timer like myself. This material becomes very stretchy and flexible when heat is applied, so I recommend using a heat gun (or maybe hair dryer) when applying to curved surfaces or corners. Overall I am very happy with the 1080 vinyl, it even has a slightly glossier look than the Di-Noc, which is perfect for what I wanted it for. If you are looking for more of a matte carbon look, go for the Di Noc. But if you like the slightly glossier look (without having to apply your own layer of clear coat), you can't go wrong with this!

Great material, would buy again!
After doing some research and listening to suggestions, I purchased this material to use for covering some dash pieces in my car. The dash on the car had been scratched from previous owners and was showing its age. In the end, I was able to renew the look of my dash and add a unique touch as well. I chose the carbon fiber material because the original dash had a pattern from the factory and I did not want a solid color. It was a bit tricky to apply, especially because most of the dash pieces I covered have compound curves, but with a lot of patience and a heat gun, I was able to apply the material and it came out great! Thus far, the material is holding up well. Its winter time right now and the temps have been fairly cold, with a few occasional days into the 70s and so far I have had no issues with the material raising or any other problems. I am interested to see how it holds up once we have 90+ degree temps this summer. Honestly, I dont expect to have issues since this material is made for use on external automotive surfaces, I expect everything will be just fine! The roll I received did have a bit of a crease in it, which I believe was a shipping issue since the box did look like it might have been bent in the same area. While this might have been an issue, I decide to keep it since i was covering several separate pieces. I figured I would be able to work around the crease. I did end up having to use the creased area, but was able to work it out fairly easily with a little heat applied and just a slight amount of stretching while applying that portion of the material. Overall, a great product that I will go to again if the need occurs!

Best out there!
As usual 3m products are high quality and worth the money. Scotchprint vynal is my vynal product of choice. The carbon looks excellent and wraps on most surfaces without any effort. Need to contour? no problem, just add a little heat and bam it stretches. I would recommend this to anyone who wants the CF look and doesnt want to waste there money on real carbon products.

Awesome for all sorts of projects! One's imagination is the limit!
I recently got inspired to try working with vinyl wrapping and have bought several rolls of 3M 1080 Scotchprint from VIVID vinyl since I started. Its been pretty fantastic so far! I really enjoy working with the stuff. Took a little bit of practice to get the hang of warming it up just the right amount once you've deciding on a positioning of the wrap. It's not very difficult. Its definitely possible to lightly stick and then lift up and move the wrap until you get it just right. (just don't get any foreign matter stuck to the adhesive side or youll end up with bubbles that you cannot squeegee out) Then applying the right amount of heat allows you to manipulate the wrap around corners quite nicely and adhere permanently. I do recommend using the primer pens (or can) that can be found on Amazon as well. They really help keep the edges down for some projects. I'll include a few pictures of some of my recent projects that I used the "carbon fiber" wrap on.
