perfect fix
old flywheel key sheared as designed - these were perfect fit (tolerance) and worked as designed. I have two more if I wind up hitting whatever stops my blade again (and again!)

Worth a shot
Worked well but was a little loose, i was hoping for a tighter fit (that's why only 4 stars).Sadly it turns out I bent the crankshaft on my mower when i broke the key. After inserting this new key and re-assembling the mower i noticed a LOT of vibration. When i tried a pass on my lawn it cut the right side down to the dirt and the left side was long. Ultimately i had to throw the mower away because after researching the problem i found its more expensive to fix a bent crankshaft than to buy a new mower... which made me mad because i bought the Briggs mower because it CAN be repaired. So frustrating... i found the following things out the hard way:1. These things are cheap enough to give it a try but there is a 50% chance you bent the shaft if you hit something that doesn't move when it gets whacked.2. If you hit a big enough tree root you can F your mower up bad - stay away from them if possible or shave them down if you find them and they stick up high enough to touch the blade. Common sense but to be honest I guess i figured steel would win against wood in a contest... it depends on the angle you hit it at.3. Lawnmowers are disposable4. Buy the cheapest mower you can find that has power assisted wheels - My new mower does not and that's a mistake ;(

My pull start was kicking back when warm
pulled the pull start off and removed the nut on flywheel and the cover to see the crankshaft key found the key half sheared off ordered a new key and reassembled the lawnmower, Pulled it a few times and then pluged the spark plug back in and started the mower and put it away as it started raining , the next morning pushed primer 4 times and it started first pull I'm happy

OEM keyway/flywheel key. fits perfect
I have a Walmart Brute 675EX lawnmower (Product #961480037 02, Model #30534379). The key fits perfectly, and my lawnmower now starts with a single simple pull....no more pulling the cord 10 to 20 times to get it started. If you hit something that you shouldn't have (a rock, or in my case a rebar), there is a good chance your flywheel key is broken. Word of caution, you will need a 15/16 inch socket to get access to the flywheel key, which is not common in a normal socket set. So buying the replacement key is one thing, but buying extra tools to replace the key is another story.
