Just a little behind my neck, on my wrists, and I am good to go. I find no heavy "rose" smell about it, which is good because many rose-scented fragrances smell old-ladyish (FYI I'm hip and in my 60s haha :). It's just a lovely, sensual, oriental-type fragrance with a roll-on ball that I get many compliments on when I wear it. Oh, and it lasts on me. This bottle, which I just ordered, is for my daughter, who always compliments me when I wear it.
