I bought this set to replace and enhance the full set I bought long time ago.. For some odd reason the bands on one of the elastics broke!! Snapped... Two or three of the elastics in the set started getting ruff feeling, then, started getting brittle.. Almost as if some chemical got on them.. It surely did not happen here, as they have been connected to the wall since I got them several years ago!!! Hummmmm... Who knows how it happened, but, of the full set I got, this only happened to about three I think. One has broken, and the other two will probably go soon. But, I still believe in the product, and I like that when the one broke, it caused no harm because it has the safety cord inside of it.. So, with that, I ordered the supplement bands, because I did not need new handles, etc... But, still a good product for the money... I like them.

Major reason for me was the safety. I'd rather not lose an eye when a band eventually breaks. Any exercise band will eventually need replacement. Feels sturdier and relatively heavier than the other bands I've used. Seems like a well made product.

Overall they make quality product. Price is bit higher but worth it. I ended up returning this one as I wanted ones with the outside nylon anti snap cover and shorter in length but don’t mid. Recommending this to anyone looking for quality durable product.

I am a long time user of Bodylastic Resistance Bands. They are the only company offering bands with the inner cord that prevents snaps and injury. The original bands came in 19 lbs, 13 lbs, 8 lbs and 3 lbs. After waiting many months in vain for replacement bands with these same resistances to be available, I finally ordered a set that is advertised and labeled as 80 lbs, 50 lbs, 30 lbs, 20 lbs and 10 lbs. I don't know what they were thinking labeling the bands as such. The "80" is actually 19, the "50" is 13, "30" is 8, "20" is 5, and "10" is 3 with the same color scheme as the older bands. I had to put a piece of tape on each one to re-label them with the correct resistance. Except for this, the bands are fine.

The Bodylastic tension bands are are certainly not the cheapest bands but they are very safe and durable. I finally had one of my bands snap after many years of use. The bands have a string inside that protect from backlash if the band snaps. The company support is also excellent. If a band breaks and is out of warranty, they will provide a discounted price for the replacement. I just bought a second set of bands to supplement my existing set. It makes my workouts more efficient since I don't have to continuously change band configurations for different exercises. These bands are worth the investment for serious at home exercisers.

They were very high quality, when they first started out. That was my first set. Several sets later, over the years, the quality is not nearly as good. Some bands even have abrasions on them, right out of the box.

I have been using these bands three times a week for a number of years. They do eventually wear out, but I got two and three years out of a band. That seems pretty durable to me. The most important reason for buying these bands is that they are safe where others often are not. Each band has a rope inside so that when they break they do not snap back. A previous set of bands that I had did not have this safety feature and it hurt when it snapped back. Indeed, I read about a case of a professional baseball player who lost an eye from snap back when his exercise band broke. You use other banks that don't have this anti-snap back feature at your own risk. Note that I was recommended these bands by my physical therapist. I do also use dumbells, but these bands allow a range of exercises that free weights don't. Also, they are completely portable. Just a great product. I just ordered a new set of bands because one of them broke, but after two years of regular use.

I've been using Bodylastics bands for many years. Yes, they have changed a bit, but the quality is still there, and that's what counts. The bands, handles, and attachments are all way above everyone else. Built-in safety from the inside cord, perfect feel to the handles, and top notch band material. Very nice indeed.
