Sturdy and well made
The photo is lying, zoom in and you will see that it is horizontal :P as is the shelf (I checked that as well), must be the camera angle. Everything else is in a state of disarray as well. That is a 32" AOL monitor on it, weighing in at 7kg according to the spec, so certainly sturdy enough, even though i have it on the highest setting, along with a Vesa adapter bracket for the AOL.It is very easy to put together but might be easier to do with two of you. I laid my monitor face down on my large mat to protect it then fitted their Vesa mount to the monitor and then fitted the stand to that, but those of you with regular monitors that already have Vesa mounting built in may find that you will need to fit it on a box if you are doing it my way.The only potential downside to the entire setup is that the vesa mount pivots completely on a single point which has no adjustment (that I could see anyway). It is done that way so you can swivel it from landscape to portrait view. I just hope that doesn't become a point of failure with time, but for now it looks and acts fine. if anything it seems more sturdy that the original stand! For the price point and ease of fitment it is worth the price, with lots of adjustment and fairly easy fixing of all the adjusting bolts once you have it in the position that you want.In fact I would be interested if they made a free standing floor version of this, as the actual Vesa mounting and pivoting seems excellent so far.

Sturdy, practical monitor stand (using it with a 32" monitor)
This monitor stand is excellent value for money. It's super easy to assemble. They provide lots of bolts and washers so it was a bit of a trial and error first, but I'd rather have this than not having the right bolt in the pack. The manufacturer made sure the stand is compatible with everything. I can say it with confidence that this monitor stand is sturdy and can hold the weight. For people complaining it not being sturdy enough...I think they need to check their installation or ask someone to do it for them because mine is rock solid and I only used things that were provided in the box. What I really like is that the base has two different glass on it. One side is shiny the other one is brushed and you can decide which side to use (as in make visible) so I opted for the brushed, frosty look. The height adjustment was easy and the monitor can be tilted as well. What I love the most is the sideways swivel function, makes it super easy to show something on the monitor to someone else standing/sitting next to you. Especially useful on a curved monitor. The motion is very refined and again the whole thing is rock solid. Same goes for the rotation. These motions have got a nice consistent, smoothed and weighted feel to them while being super easy to carry out. I can only recommend this if your monitor stand doesn't allow for a lot of movement.

Does the job and is affordable
I recently bought two new desks to fit my study unfortunately for me there was no easy way to mount my previous gas monitor arm to these desks so I had to improvise.I took a chance on this monitor stand as it said it could hold 35kg (not sure i'd trust it with that much weight) but it has taken the weight of my 34" ultrawide fine which weighs 8kg. Some other cheaper mounts like a fixed arm might sag and tilt forward with a monitor weighing this much. This has been solid and also looks great. Two options for the stand one side is frosted and other is normal glass. I chose the frosted as it looks nicer. Both sides are finger print magnets so you'll want to wipe it down if you want to keep it looking nice.Only negative I'd say the tilt motion left and right is a bit too loose for my liking and the adjustment bolt is reversed so it's not easy to access so knocking one star off for that.Very much worth it for £20.

Sturdy enough and good value. Base is glass.
Easy to assemble and does what it should... it's obviously a simple product so not much more to say. Comes with some VESA screws but you may need other sizes or washers depending on your monitor. Base is shiny black glass. I'm using it on a 12" monitor so it looks a bit odd, but that's to be expected - a regular sizes monitor will be fine and you can choose one of multiple heights. Tilts and swivels too.

Good stand!
Well it holds my Samsung g5 34 ultrawide and has had no issues yet! Comes with a decent bit of kit to get you up and going. For what I need it's perfect.

Great for a 34inch ultrawide
I got an Alienware AW3423DW monitor yesterday and ordered this alongside to replace the original stand.First of all i looked all over at stands and table mounts etc and it wasn't until i seen someone had updated their review to say this stand suited my monitor that i decided to go for it! Everything about this looks much better i was concerned about the glass base i wanted something matte but given it's black and under a screen it's not reflective or an issue and looks great. The base is really easy to assemble just attach the back stand into the bottom with two screws and washers then attach the vesa mount to the back of your display and simply slot it into wichever height you want, after this you need to hand tighten a screw through the back of the base wich secures it's position and on the vesa mount hand tighten one more thing when you adjust the amount of tilt you want on the montor and it's done! Sure you can't slide it up or down or tilt without loosening it again but you can rotate and flip it on it's side easily. So far it seems sturdy and has held in the position i put it in so i'm content. It looks so much better than the white bulky base that comes with this monitor as i have an all black set up.For the price and given the fact it comes with the tools required and all the types of screws you may need i'd highly recommend it. It has freed up desk space for me and i have sat my stream deck on the base wich looks great.
