I've been using the YESWELDER True Color Auto Darkening Welding Helmet for various welding tasks, and it has truly exceeded my expectations. The auto-darkening feature works seamlessly, providing instant protection as soon as I start welding. This has significantly improved my comfort and efficiency during projects. The true color view is fantastic, allowing me to see more clearly and accurately without the green tint typical of other helmets. It makes a noticeable difference in the quality of my work, especially when dealing with detailed welds. Comfort is another highlight of this helmet. The adjustable headband fits securely without causing discomfort during extended use. This is crucial for long DIY sessions, reducing fatigue and allowing me to focus on the task at hand. One minor drawback is the sensitivity adjustment. It took a bit of fiddling to get it just right, but once dialed in, it works perfectly. This welding helmet has been a reliable addition to my DIY toolkit, enhancing both safety and performance in my welding projects. It's a solid investment for any welding enthusiast.

Worked perfectly for me with an 80 amp wire welder. I find that an auto-darkening helmet is especially important for a novice or occasional user (like me). It was easy to adjust with an external knob for the right dark level to see clearly before and after striking an arc. It comes with spare outer and inner windows and an extra battery. It's light and comfortable to wear but probably not rugged enough for extensive use.

This welding & grinding face shield is high quality, well made, easily adjusted for head fit comfort, and comes with extra battery and both lens protection plastic covers. It was packed well and arrived next day. I decided to reuse the heavy plastic bag it came in to keep it dust free while stored on my welding cart. I’m impressed with how well it works. It quickly darkens, and the recovery time for it to go clear again has plenty of adjustment. I’ve got mine set at the fast side, so I can quickly assess the weld I just made. Shade darkness is easily set with your left had, and the knob is on the outside. The viewing area is small compared to the full face or the new panoramic style, but more than adequate. The shade control also can lock the shade to clear for grinding. Very slick, although I probably won’t use it for grinding. I’ve already used it to TIG weld a project I was working on, and did some 308 SS stick welds with it on another project. I was able to go from stick to TIG with a simple twist of the external darkness knob. Before darkening to weld, viewing is clear and natural looking. You can’t beat this welding shield for the price, and it even allows me to use my respirator with plenty of room between it and the face shield. The only complaint I had was the button battery used to power the shade was dead when it arrived. When I hit the shade test button nothing happened. I figured I would have to send the helmet back, but when I took the cover off the battery I found it incorrectly installed. The battery had draining completely do to this mistake, but I already had a spare supplied with my purchase. A quick swap out (with correct insertion), and it worked perfectly;-).

One of the side clamps was installed wrong , easy fix has adjustable shade and adjustable tint timer havent got to use it yey but it does function as it should well using the test mode and a lighter anyway. Not a high dollar fancy hood by any .eans it is a cheap hood but its fully adjustable has forehead soft band 2 over the head adjustable bands and a back of the head soft pad.

This helmet worked excellent right out of the box. I say that because I am new to welding, and took the helmet out of the box, and didn't even bother to look at any settings, and started welding and it still worked great. As I continued welding, I was thinking that it'd be great to be able to see a bit better. That's when I realized, that the adjustment knob was at the highest setting so I turned it down a bit and was able to see even better. On to the functionality of the helmet. My biggest question before buying it was how do I turn it on? I know it says "auto darkening" but was curious if there was a button or switch to flip, but you don't have to do anything, it really is automatic. It does a fantastic job of dulling out light as you can see in the video. I've already started adding some soft modifications to it like a headlamp to help with seeing where I am welding and adding a cheater lens as well. Overall, the price is excellent, the helmet offers excellent protection, easy to use, and works great. I couldn't be happier with this purchase.
