REP FITNESS Rubber Coated Olympic Plates, Updated Design - Tri-Grip Olympic Barbell Weights – Sold in Pairs and Sets

The plates are a great addition to our garage gym!! A few things right off the bat that I’m appreciating is how easy they are to handle. The tri-grip handholds make it super easy to add and remove weight from the bar and make great handles for working with the plates without a barbell. The grip on the plates is very nice also, without leaving black residue on my hands and barbell. I’ve previously owned other plates that were difficult to handle Finally I’ve found plates without the nasty rubber smell. The last plates we tried were a bit overwhelming to us in our garage gym, these Rep plates are perfect!! These are amongst the best plates I’ve come across, and I’d highly recommend them to anyone!

These rubber coated Olympic plates are of high quality - but also at an affordable price. No smell or oily residue normally smeared on similar type plates; I unpacked them and immediately used them. I plan to purchase more rep rubber olympic plates in the future. Highly recommended for the garage gym with avid lifter aspirations.

Great little weights. Rubber coated and highly durable. Have only used a few times but so far they have been good weights.Update: 6/2/19. The weights are showing ‘burring’ around the bushing. Little pieces of metal are sticking out and I found it went it poked into my finger. So far only on 1 weight but these aren’t old and only get used about 2-3 times a week. Still nice weights but they are not holding up well.

My sense of smell is pretty average, and definitely NOT what you'd think of as "overly sensitive".These things emit an overpowering and absolutely intolerable stench. Only had them inside my house long enough to open the package and look at them. Immediately put them outside, on my side porch, but the inside of my house smelled like them for an entire day. Picked them up to pack them for return shipment today, and they still reeked, even though they've been sitting outside in a paper bag on my porch for a week.One reviewer said "Ignore the smell, it goes away super quick and is understandable given the product in the tiny box, etc. Really is no big deal and only mention it because I have made note of a lot of "odor sensitive" reviews. It literally subsides in an hour or so."DEFINITELY not true, in my case.

These plates look sharp and are versatile. I love adding weighted carries into my workouts for active rest and the handles on the plates are perfect for that. I chose the rubber coating because other plates have ripped my flooring when dropped, these will not. They had a slight rubber smell to them, but not nearly as bad as other plates I've had and did not leave any black marks on my hands. The plates also slide easily on and off the bar. Yp u should be aware these plates are slightly smaller in diameter is slightly smaller than my standard steel plates at the gym so these plates are best suited for squats and presses unless you are working on pulling from a deficit.

I usually get my plates from Titan Fitness, but they were sold out. So I ventured to try another brand since I needed change plates. I was not disappointed. These plates are a good size. Built well. Most importantly, they were affordable. These are rubber coated and have a rubber "ring" around the outside so they won't bump or scuff bumper plates. They shipped quickly and arrived quickly. I have seen other change plates that cost almost as much as a full-sized bumper plates -- these are quality plates for price and won't break the bank.

Ok, i bought these as it said they're not smelly. Guess what - they're very stinky. They smell like petroleum, which isn't surprising, but they really souldn't be putting in false claims.

Very durable plates which are very quiet. Definitely plan to order more
