Not a lot you can say about a £12 sling. It works, good quality. The adjustments work well and it is comfortable to wear (as comfortable as it can be with a broke wrist!). Easy to put on/off. Great value for money. I can't think why you'd need to spend more or why you'd need a better sling as this one does the job well. The only reasons I can think as to why you wouldn't get this sling is if you were a very large person, or you have a very heavy plaster cast since the sling is stretchy, or you need to wear a sling for a very long time. I think it will be durable enough considering that I expect this just to be temporary (a months use). I didn't buy it as a permenent thing so will not judge it badly as long as it lasts long enough, which it will.

I need a sling for additional pain relief from a torn rotator cuff and ac joint injury, until I have surgery. Will also need it post-op for immobilisation. I chose this brace as it doesn't have clips to secure it and I thought this would be easier. I just put my arm in and lift the neck strap over my head to put it on. I have found it very effective in supporting my arm and reducing the pain. It is lightweight and the breathable material means it doesn't become hot to wear. There are 2 thumb loops so this is versatile for the left or right arm. The padded section next to the neck is fixed, so it doesn't slip and there are no sharp strap edges nextcto your skin. I use the two internal pockets for my phone and door key and there is enough room in the sling to rest a small purse or wallet in there too. I've put this in the washing machine (in a mesh bag) and no damage at all. I plan to buy a second brace before surgery, so I always have a clean one to wear. My only negative point is that I have had to adjust the strap to its shortest for my arm to be at a high enough position (elbow at a right angle) for the sling to relieve pain. Anyone wanting a support that holds the forearm at a higher position, won't be able to with this unless they shorten the strap (something I plan on doing).

I’ve had a replacement shoulder; the arm sling is easy to use and comfortable to wear. Can be worn in the shower and the material allows easy drying. It keeps the arm in a good, comfortable and necessary healing position for healing.

Broken left wrist. Good product , lightweight and cool. Adapts to either arm. Shoulder strap easily adapted to suit required height. Can just lift over my head to partially remove and rest my elbow. Much better than the heavy woolly Velcro sling I was given in hospital. This does the same job but much more comfortable and cooler in this warm weather.

For me personally I’d say it was too big. Even on the smallest position it was still in the wrong place for my shoulder. I have Ehlers Danlos syndrome and my joints come out easily. And having a sling that is comfortable is essential. It was too big on my arms, and round where your hand sits. However it was completely comfortable to wear if it fit properly and o was able to shorten the strap part.

After being told i have rotary cuff this has helped massively. It stops me from using my arm. Its comfortable and extends to different lengths. It also has a comfortable padding for round my next. Great price

Bought for my 86 year old father who had broken his shoulder. He found it more comfortable than the sling the hospital gave him, but be aware as the hospital did not recommend it for a broken shoulder

I bought this sling for my elderly mum as she has torn her rotator cuff. The sling is well made but wasn't suitable for my mum as the neck strap caused her neck to hurt, she has arthritis in her neck and spine. For anyone who doesn't have neck problems it would be fine.
