More powerful than expected
This portable shaver is a nice placement for my 20 year-old Braun Pocket Go M90 shaver. I would have loved to get another M90 but the most recent reviews indicate that they have changed the foil design so the shaver no longer works as effectively as my old model. I thought I'd give this one a try and was pleasantly surprised and happy that I did. There are several advantages this shaver has over the M90. It is really small! It will fit into a travel toiletry bag very well. Not sure if it's because the blade is new but it shaves cleanly easily. Afterwards I actually feel the slight razor burn that tells me the job is well done. The possible disadvantage is that it is not water proof, or if it is then it's not in the product description. However this is not an issue. The blade snaps off really easily so rinsing it without getting the shaver wet is simple. All in all it's a powerful device that is highly portable and effective.

AMAZING. Once again low price & quality=Value.
This was another really pleasant surprise from China. A great Panasonic shaver, at a very low price. I wanted to touch up where I'd style my beard with a clipper, to get really smooth. Turns out it shaves so smoothly my neck was soft as a baby's ass. This little Panasonic performed as well as my Braun shaver. There's a handy screen cover, it takes a couple of AA batteries. A slide switch for ON/OFF. I've used it for several weeks now with the same batteries and no slowdown. It's also a handsome little square unit. A real value anyway you cut this, quality and very inexpensive. Thanks for the beauty Amazon! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! A real treat.

small and light weight
This rating is for this low priced, NOT top of the line, travel shaver. It works well for me, you need to use it every day or 2 or it will be difficult to shave all the whiskers effectively. It's not gonna be a great shave, exactly what would you expect for a $20 shaver? But I like to travel light, and I go camping a lot and this works fine for that. I would not use it if I had a hot date coming up, but it keeps a close enough shave for me. It's small and lightweight, it uses 2 AA batteries which I can find anywhere in the world so it's perfect for me for traveling/camping

It isn't a razor, but it'll do
This thing is built and designed very elegantly, really feels like the peak of 80s/90s Japanese electronic design. Good heft, the battery compartment and blade guard clip firmly with a satisfying click, it makes enough noise to convince you it has power without being chattery or irritating. From the tasteful molded grip lines on the exterior to the safety catch on the power switch the attention to detail and user experience of this little shaver is comparable to a Casio wristwatch; inexpensive but sturdy and reliable. This shaver, however, is not a replacement for a proper shave, the foil design makes it hard to get any decent lines and I do notice it is a little more irritating than my safety razor, despite providing less close of a shave. I use this shaver between actual shaves on my neck, and it keeps stubble from becoming sloppy looking. For the price, convenience, and the legitimate joy that it is to use, it's a 5 star little tool. BUT it isn't a razor, and shouldn't be expected to perform like a real wet shave, especially for those who know how soft and smooth a real shave can be. In short, buy it, and also buy a real razor.

Quit working
At first everything was great. It was very compact for travel, shaved well, etc. Then after about a year it quit working in the middle of an overseas trip. So can't recommend.

Buy one. Note the top/cover; get a container for traveling. Good, really good, otherwise.
Have not yet used. Finally found something to replace the one I had in MCT (after boot) and beyond. In 91, it had a thin cover that slid over the top covering 80% of unit, sans on/off switch. This one has a clear, thick cover that just protects the screen. I plan to find a clamshell or other small latchable container, with a soft lined inside, like foam rubber, to dampen ruff handling; for use when put in luggage/travel bags/backpacks. This is the only (possible) issue I can see: cover comes off and screen gets damaged/creased. Great for 1 day, and evening touch-ups. Never used past 3 days growth. Note, still need to see if rechargeable batteries can be used in unit. (Use rechargeable in city, disposables while in field.) For the price; get several if you always need to be clean-cut and sharp. Office draw, edc bag, vehicle (if you keep up with checking on the batteries). Try one, go from there.

if only you could get replacement screens.
using one as we speak. very convenient using rechargeable batteries. Very smooth and does a great job. The reason for three stars is that I am torn between one star and five stars. I was tempted to give it one star because the screens wear out in about a month and you notice it when it is eating up your face. a small hole in the screen will appear and the jagged edges abrade your face. Since the razor itself is so cheap and works so well? I am buying one about every month or so. I won't be buying anymore tho. I will look for something else.

travel shaver
Shaver is small and shaves resonably well. Not as good as my big Panasonic but useful for travel as it is small and battery powered. It replaces my larger , heavier but similar Braun M30.

For me personally, as an excellent secondary finishing shaver after a wet sandwich razor shave.
This is the second time I am buying this model of travel shaver(the first this time on Amazon). The first shaver lasted nearly 4 years. I was fully satisfied with it. I use it every day as a secondary follow-up shaver, after first completing my shave with a regular sandwich blade wet razor and thoroughly drying my face. I find it excellent to remove the left over shorter stubble, especially in the nooks and crannies around the nose and mouth, and also generally all over the face. In the end, you are left with the smoothest shave ever. I had to discard the first shaver because one of the two battery contacts - the negative pole contact of the battery slot on the left hand side after you open the case - broke. I found that the battery placed in this inner slot wasn't fitting tightly, resulting in a loose contact, and the shaver needed to be shaken every now and then to get it working again. I find this same defect in the new set which I have bought. Perhaps it was the constant vibration of the shaver working on the loose metal contact over a period of time which led to it snapping in my first shaver. I have solved the loose contact problem in the new shaver which I have just bought by placing a thin strip of transparent flexible plastic sheet over the two batteries before sliding the battery cover shut. I think the manufacturer needs to address the problem of the defective metal negative contact, as also the cover not fitting tightly over the batteries after it is slid shut.

Quality product very well made
As a woman with Pcos who has tried everything this is a huge win for me. I do not leave my house without it if I go on holiday. This is gentle on my skin yet gets all unwanted hair from fine to coarse. Highly recommend for men and women! (For unwanted facial hair). This is a quality product.

Shaves close and very handy
Fantastic little travel razor. It actually shaves closer than my larger Braun unit at home. In fact I use this at home a lot to get those hard to get places a larger shaver misses sometimes. Very small and light so great for travel. Take extra AA batteries for long trips.
