This is a very fun game ... usually play with 6 to 8 people. We have some better quality poker chips to use and that makes if easier to bet and place chips on the mat. So glad we learned about this game!!

What a fun game! After practice rounds we all were playing and having a great time.

We’ve been playing Tripoley for a lot of years with a regular group of 7-8 players. Our son borrowed our game about a month ago and hasn’t returned it, so we just decided to buy another one. This set comes with a 24”x24” felt mat, 100 plastic chips, and a deck of cards. The felt mat is of medium-weight and works just fine. It’s much better than the plastic mats that come with some sets because your cards and chips don’t slide around. Our last mat was a little heavier, but this one should still stand up to a lot of use. You’ll probably want more than the 100 chips that came with it. We use our much heavier 11.5 gram poker chips, but you can also buy another 100 of the same plastic chips for $6 or $7 here on Amazon. Tripoley is pretty easy to learn, if you’ve never played before. It’s really just Hearts, Poker, and Michigan Rummy, played in that order. When we play with the grandkids we use M&Ms instead of chips, and that makes this one of their favorite games to play at our house. Kids can be very competitive when chocolate is at stake. This is a good set for the money, and I’d happily recommend it to friends and family.

When I first discovered Tripoley, I was 10 and thought it was the greatest game ever invented (okay, slight exaggeration) and bought my own set with my allowance. My mom and I used to play pretty frequently, but in the last move my wife and I made it got tossed. This past December, I decided that my in-laws, who were visiting for Christmas, might enjoy the game so I looked to see if I could still get it. The price was a bit of a shock, my only complaint, but right after lunch Christmas Day, my sister-in-law, father-in-law and I sat down and I played the game. It was easy to teach them how to play and in short order, I had memories of playing the game as a kid. The set was in really good working order and the instructions were pretty clear.

Super fun game, I have purchased these as gifts as our friends love to play…you can’t go wrong with this!!! Just know, you will definitely need more chips even when playing with just a few people!!!
