Our 2003 Chevy Malibu "died" on us while we were driving around in the Rocky Mountains near Denver. We managed to limp home and park our car on the street in front of the house. This book provides all the information we need to know about the car: what parts are needed to get it running again and how they are assembled. We were so glad to find such a book available. It will save us a lot of time and money.

Very Useful

Not bad- works well for most things. Pictures are sometimes hard to interpret, as they are in black and white, and of course it doesn't cover in detail the things that you need the most info on. Well worth the investment for the person who is trying to save some money on repairs, and wants to gain experience.

Haynes repair manuals are awesome to have on hand if you are a car guy/gal. You can repair or rebuild your vehicle if you have these manuals. If you have a used car lot that allows you to pull parts off old/refuse vehicles and you know how to install them, you can save yourself a TON of money by going there, pulling the part, and installing it yourself using these handy-dandy manuals. We have them for all our vehicles and swear by them.

I bought this for my Grandson, so he can get acqainted with the care and maintenance of his first car. These are great to have, even if you never intend to turn a wrench. You can look up the repair recommended and compare the effort to the amount you are being billed.

Gives you a really basic and straight forward picture guide on how to do most common repairs. It is not comprehensive enough though! It only works around a perfect world where everything is in place and you have pandora's toolbox. I originally bought this for a couple repairs like drum brakes, antenna rewiring, and fuel gauge fix; 1: It made the drum brake procedure understandable but there was a little confusion due to lack of multiple pictures, 2: It only tells you how to unscrew and unplug the antenna mount in the trunk and not anything about the wiring to the head unit that I needed, 3: No quality repair info about instrument cluster repairs. Overall an OK addition to internet research but not a replacement.

Bought for my son so we can maintain his 2001 Malibu together. It's a great manual covering end-to-end maintenance. These manuals can be hard to find, so I was pleased it was available.

Usual great quality Haynes guide for the home mechanical type.

This book was a god-send. While I had my old Oldsmobile Alero, I used this book to replace a lot of components. This book, along with RockAuto.com, saved me thousands of dollars. With this book I replaced: - brakes pads and rotars - rotated tires - air filters - oil changes - all 4 calipers (while driving, 1 front seized, 1 front was leaking and the bleader valve for 1 rear caliper was broken) - all 4 strut/shock assemblies - starter motor - water/coolant pump - sway bar - alternator - spark plugs (PITA to get at the rear ones) - coolant tank (it ruptured) - header panel (large plastic panel at front of the car that both headlights mount onto) this one along saved my $400 from a quote I got from a garage... I only payed $80 for item + shipping

Das Buch ist sehr detailiert aber auch sehr unübersichtlich in versch.Kapitel und Modelle eingereiht. viel Information für Self-made Rep. bis hin zum Elektr. Schaltplan. konnte aber mein spez. Problem damit nich in den Griff kriegen...

Helpful, but not as much as before YouTube. Great for referencing sizes and torque numbers though. Always handy to have a repair manual especially if you own a GM product.

Excellent book. Helped me through all of my hardships when working on my 2002 Alero. Decent pictures, although a little hard to interpret sometimes, the text makes it clear what needs to be done.
