As I had previously had one of this bell until the door push wore out, it was easy to add my old receiver to the new set and so get 3 bells for the price of 2 - a real bonus ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Effective doorbell *by J***E on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 25 November 2013* I chose this to replace a 9 year old battery operated wireless bell that had failed. The main attraction was the fact that it is mains operated - so no alarming battery consumption like its predecessor - and the additional portable bell unit.The bell comes with full installation and use instructions and is very simple to install. It's well worth following the instruction that recommends experimenting to find the most effective location for the bell push before fixing it with the adhesive pad. Having had some difficulty removing the previous bell push from our UPVC door frame, I was wary of putting the replacement in the wrong place.The choice of bell chimes is limited but finding an acceptable one was no problem and the chime is loud enough to be heard around the house.We have not used the battery operated portable chime yet as its main purpose is to alert us when we are in the garden (unlikely in November!). My only minor concern is that there is no on/off switch for the unit, so the only way to disable it is to remove the batteries. Overall this an effective product at a reasonable price.
