Review: Perfect for Drop B! - Bought the Ernie Ball Mammoth (12-62) set for Drop B tuning, and it plays like a dream! (Tuning is B, F#, B, E, G#, C#, which has the same intervals and feel of Drop D, but everything 3 steps lower). I'm using a 24.75" scale length guitar, so I was worried about tension and tone, but this is a great set for it. I do have some intonations issues at the bridge which was to be expected, but after trying many different gauges and combinations, I'm sticking with this now. Plays and feels amazing in Drop B!
Review: Just brilliant - Excellent quality and sound, incredible for down tuning and keeping the tension while playing without the strings being to floppy! Made the metal look on my guitar go up another level

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Why are these ranked #1 in the category "Fishing" ?**
A: When a company puts a product in some obscure category, they can get the "best seller" icon when they inevitably get more sales than the other products in that category. That's how you end up searching for something like "guitar strings", and multiple products show up as the #1 seller. Why Amazon still allows this after all these years, I will never know.

**Q: Do all 6 strings come in the "1 pack"?**
A: If you note on the front of the package, it has a list of numbers (10, 13, 17, 26, 36, 46 on the "Regular Slinky" set, and similar on others). These are the string gauges included in the pack. If there were only one string in the pack, it would list a single number, because you'd have to know which string it was.

**Q: what is the difference between slinky and non slinky?**
A: Slinky is just a line of strings from Ernie Ball, the "Slinkier" they are the thinner they are, regular Slinky are 10 gauge strings, super slinky are 9s, and "Not Even Slinky" strings are 12s (the number represents the gauge of the lightest string in the set).

**Q: I'm looking for extra strings for my new Les Paul Special II. I'm buing guitar from amazon, it costs $149. Are this strings compatible?**
A: Short answer, yes they should be fine. Long answer, the comparability between strings and guitars doesnt matter, its the string slots that in the nut that matter. The les Paul's usually use bigger strings anyway.

Excellent quality and sound, incredible for down tuning and keeping the tension while playing without the strings being to floppy! Made the metal look on my guitar go up another level

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Djenting it up in Drop C# and Dadgad down to C#
*by N***L on 24 June 2020*

Decent strings for anyone looking to tune lower then D. For me theses are great on a 25.5 scale in Drop C# or lower. I personally use them mostly with Drop C# and C# G# C# F# G# C# (Dadgad half a step down) I wouldn't go any lower then a B Tuning with these but that's just because I prefer a very high tension. I'd actually still prefer a heavier gauge just for my Low C#. Perhaps a 64 or 65. But I have to deal with the 62's that come in this pack which is Just a minor personal preference with Tension. I think most people don't like alot of tension on their strings so maybe you wouldn't have that issue. C# is my sweet spot tuning for these bad bois. I'm sure if you use these on a baritone scale you could tune alot lower. For a Les Paul these could be handy for tunings from D through to C.
