I originally ordered this clock because it had so many options I was looking for. I like the idea of waking gently to light, but found I was waking up as soon as the light came on. This clock has no option for decreasing the amount of time between the light coming on and the alarm sounding (automatically 30 minutes) or a no light/sound only alarm. This was a problem for me even though I liked all the other functions. I missed my return window and thought I would be stuck with the clock. I received an email from the seller asking about my satisfaction. I explained the issue I was having but didn't expect much help because I was past the return date. Bought this clock for my daughter just over a month ago. Changing colors never worked. Now this morning we turned the alarm off during the sunrise part but before alarm sounded and everything just stopped. Music plays for every button pushed. No time display. Had to unplug to get the light to shut off. Definitely junk!

The sunrise simulation that starts 30 minutes before the alarm is great for waking me up gently. The controls definitely aren't the most intuitive, but the user guide is pretty helpful. One weird feature is that radio alarm turns off after 2 minutes and then auto snoozes for 5 minutes, and as far as I can tell there's no way to adjust the volume for the radio alarm. The speaker has a low hum when it's in radio or bluetooth mode, but it's fine if you can ignore that.

First of all, the colors were cool, it was somewhat easy to set up the basic items, and for such a tiny device, the sound wasn't as bad as I expected. The main problem with the radio portion is that you can't select presets yourself. It just scans through, and sets presets for all stations that have reception. Pretty annoying since there many stations I avoid. I have the nasty habit of hitting the snooze button many times each morning. This clock doesn't have a very useful version of the snooze tool. It would only turn off for a few minutes that come right back on. I need my nine minutes dang it! It would also stop after a while. I basically need my alarms to go until I have no choice but to wake up. I was afraid that this clock would lead to waking too late, so I returned it. I need to invest in an alarm with a foghorn or something at this point, lol!

UPDATE: This alarm is junk. My daughter finally wanted to try to use it after it sat for months, and it doesn’t even work now. Waste of money.... Just not what I was expecting, my tech smart 7 year old gets frustrated with this thing and doesn’t enjoy it like I had hoped. Got it so she could have a mellow alarm sound to wake her up for school, and radio in her room when she’s hanging out in there. But since she doesn’t really like it, she won’t even use the alarm clock :( I can say (and yes I am tech savvy) - the radio mode is a pain to shuffle through and it’s just a pain to work with in general... my daughter literally only uses it for the different light colors. Maybe she’ll like it when she’s older.

I bought this for my teenage son who uses his phone to wake up. Then when he gets grounded from his phone and doesn't get up for school he blames us taking his phone away on not waking up. So now no excuse! He's also in a room in the garage without windows so having an alarm click wake him up with light as well as alarm will be a big help. This has a lot of settings I'm sure he'll play around with and enjoy. He's also a heavy sleeper so this will help get him out of bed. It's constructed well and the sound is clear. Overall very happy with this.

A clock radio has two essential functions -- an alarm clock and a radio. This gadget's radio is incredibly difficult to program. I've been trying to program my favorite station for 20 minutes now and cannot get it to work. The users manual was apparently written in Japanese and translated into English by someone who didn't speak English, so it's very unclear. I'm very disappointed and aggravated, and it looks like I'll have to return it.

I have been using my new alarm clock for a couple weeks. I definitely would make adjustments to its design if I could, but overall, it works as stated. I wish you could use one of the colored lights for sleep mode. I also wish you could hit snooze on the light; I made the mistake of unplugging it to shut it off. I thought I broke it, but after I took the battery out and removed all power sources, I was able to get the light functioning again. Overall, a pretty good light alarm and 30 min of light before the sound comes on helps me get up sooner (although I definitely slept through the light one morning and I ended up oversleeping a little!) I definitely like the sleep function and getting to use the Bluetooth option both at night to help me relax & fall asleep, and also to put some energy into the start of the day when I am waking up.
