Review: As hard as a rock - This is a very very hard bread, it is as hard as a stone. I don't think barley bread is ever like this. It's so expensive, yet, not enjoyable. A knife cannot go through this bread. I even tried soaking it in liquid, but it still didn't soften. I tried every suggestion on how to soften barley bread, but none worked. There is no direction on the package on how to soften the bread if it was made specially. I will not recommend.

This is a very very hard bread, it is as hard as a stone. I don't think barley bread is ever like this. It's so expensive, yet, not enjoyable. A knife cannot go through this bread. I even tried soaking it in liquid, but it still didn't soften. I tried every suggestion on how to soften barley bread, but none worked. There is no direction on the package on how to soften the bread if it was made specially. I will not recommend.

I wasn’t sure what to expect. These are extremely hard. But once softened, they are absolutely delicious! Olive oil, feta, and tomatoes seems to be the go-to. They are also pretty good in milk (taste like mini-wheats but better). I’ve also dipped it in coffee because that’s what I had on hand. Still good!
