Here's the ultimate cymbal mounting solution if you are looking to mount onto a 7/8" clamp. First you need 2.5 inch long carriage bolt (3/8 diameter), a matching nut and washer,  Pintech Percussion LMA-1 L-Rod & Adjustable Mounting Arm for Mounting Pads , and this Cymbal spring. As it turns out, this product screws perfectly onto a 3/8 diameter bolt. Replace the L-Rod with the bolt and tighten the nut and washer onto bolt. Finally screw the cymbal spring onto bolt. It is very, very snug. You don't even need to tighten the side screw.

easy on and off for cymbals, decreases breakage. this is my second one, have had the first for years. very durable.

I like these, they really improve the sustain and ring of my cymbals. I wish the screw felt a little more secure but so far so good. When you get the right color for the right weight of cymbal they don't flap around at all.Good Music to You

These units are seemingly not well known in drum circles, but I think they are an absolute must for mounting china-style cymbals. Quality is good and they really help keep cymbals from cracking under use.

Can be used for any symbol really. But we use it for our China Cymbal.

Easy to attach to a cymbal stand, and the nut stays tight instead of slowly loosening like some wingnuts. It's fine with a loud china if your only using it for crashing. I have a vintage Zildjian Pang china-type cymbal that I tried with this recently, and while it's fine for crashing, there is some vibration noise when using mallets or using the cymbal as a ride (this Pang sounds great as a ride!) It's probably not detectable to someone ten feet away, but it's annoying. Maybe Aquarian should consider adding a felt core to help dampen the noise...Overall, these are great for china cymbals and/or rides that get hit hard. Probably helps prevent damage...Note: If you're playing new Zildjian cymbals, you're probably going to crack them no matter what. They're pretty, but even if they don't sound like crap, they will fall apart. They don't make them like they used to. Buy used, vintage gear for half the price!

Works as described mage for larger cymbals preferred for china type cymbals

This item is great for the longevity of a China cymbal and it works like a charm. The item arrived 4/5 days before Amazon said it would demonstrating how good the seller is. I would definitely buy off them again.

E' una molla che all'apparenza (cioè maneggiandola) sembra molto dura, consigliata per piatti china e ride. Io la sto usando su un china da 19'', dal primo colpo ho visto che la molla si flette bene e così si ha un guadagno sulla resistenza del piatto ma anche (parere personale) sul suono che si "ammorbidisce" un pò, e questo lo preferisco.
